Hi fellow mylotter! I need your advise. Recently, my colleague recommended me to use yasmin pills as contraceptive. She's been using it for more than a year now and I can see that her complexion and skin elasticity improves a lot. I went then to my gyne yesterday to ask if I am okay to use it since I have migraine for few years now. I am afraid that it will trigger migraine attack because of hormonal changes but she say it will depend on the user as the effect will vary from person to person. So I did bought a box and decided to try it on my next period. When I reached home, I read the warning and dosage administration and got scared as some of the complication there goes as far as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) and breast or cervical cancer. Now I am quite apprehensive to start taking it.
How about you? Who among you take contraceptive pills and how does these pills affect you? Your response will be greatly appreciated since I still have few days before I got my period.

Hello joy_evaldez. I am quite sure about its effects when it comes to taking pills as a way of contraception. My wife has never taken any contraceptive pills and I won't have her take any. I think that it is not good to the health in our subconscious mind.

That what I thought of also. It's quite scary to take the pills honestly that is why I give a considerable thought before I even take the first pill. But since I am delayed and now we are suspecting another pregnancy, my consideration of taking contraceptive pill will be delayed indefinitely. Thank you for your response.
