Today, I was hired to be an English Tutor in one of the English Learning Centers here in our province. I am still under probation, but I will be paid already for the 2 weeks of trial classes that I shall be conducting.
I feel excited about the job, yet anxious at the same time. I do want to do my best in this job. I was told in our orientation that I would begin the trial classes tomorrow afternoon.
How about you? How did you feel when you were hired for your first job? Were there any difficulties that you encountered?
Thanks in advance for sharing! :)

hi aixs!
Notice how i always respond to most of your discussions? It's just that your discussions somehow makes me feel soo young again.
My first job was very big...
I was hired as a medical representative by a multi-national pahrmaceutical company..
My pay was huge..I had lots of benefits...and they even gave me a car!
Too bad I had to quit the job coz they want to re-assign me to a different city.. i was scared to take such huge step coz I was still young that time..
I quit my job..gave them back the car..
then I worked as a college teacher.

Wow, thanks! :) It feels good to know I make someone feel young :) hehehe!
My sister once worked as a med rep too! She had to go to a different city, but finally quit when she got a chance to go on with her nursing career. :)
Okay, that's pretty much a big jump. Med rep to teacher :)

I felt weird and nervous because I was about to work my first day at my first job with a bunch of people that I've never seen before and I knew that I would have to try and interact with them. Jobs are really weird. I think that the workplace is a really really strange environment.

Maybe I would be the happiest person in the world knowing that every individual right now is praying not to lose their job especially that the economy is not good and facing a lot of challenges right now.

My first job was in Dunkin Donuts, most of the foodservers were good looking and bit classy,as the store requires you to speak english most of the time..when i got accpeted i was ecstatic but nervous as well..i heard youll be facing the rudeness and like a test of trainess..i did..although i survived but when another batch came i didnt do what the old ones did, instead tried to orient them secretly for whatever they would do and what they would do..anyway it was just a part time job when i was still in college it helps with my allowance a lot,did worked there for more than 2 yrs...a very good experience and a good exposure to people from all walks of life...
