Yes, again, cause this is the 3rd time they have been stealing my stuffs in my backyard. I don’t know if I should be feeling afraid or angry. But I think I’m feeling more depressed cause I feel they won’t stop until they have gotten all my stuffs.
I live in a 3-unit apartment and I am at the middle and all tenants share one big backyard, without divisions. It’s been 3 weeks since one of my neighbor moved out from their unit and since then, burglars have been sneaking in their garage and into my backyard, stealing my stuffs.
At first I wasn’t alarmed by what the burglars took cause I consider the stuffs junk. I also never thought that they would come back for more stuffs but after a week they came back and took my dogs’ traveler cage and it was an expensive item. They also took some of the plastic chairs and stools (monobloc) and other stuffs that I use for laundry. So I asked help from my relatives on what to do. They had tied wires and secured all the stuffs that are left and those are my washing machine and some wire mesh from our former shop. They also fixed the bamboo fence that my former neighbor built as division cause it has been destroyed by a typhoon last year. I left one chair and a basin untied cause I figured they can’t anymore enter the fence. But last night, at about 3am I heard voices whispering. I knew they were burglars so I tried to listen and after a while I turned on the lights and opened the backdoor. I tried to see if they are still there but I didn’t saw anyone. The fence wasn’t destroyed so I figured they never made it inside my backyard and I went back to sleep. But for the 3rd time, they were able to steal the chair and the basin I left untied. Those damn burglars are making me feel depressed. They are making it a habit stealing my stuffs.
Just a while ago my cousin helped me install a padlock at my backdoor where it will be locked from inside. We also had some bottles hanged on strings tied on the bamboo fence. The burglars might come again tonight and if they tried to jump over the fence, hopefully the bottles will make a noise and it will awake me to call my relatives on the phone so they can come over and catch the burglars while still in my backyard. It may sound crazy but this time, I am ready to catch them.

Why aren't you calling the police about this? How about putting in motion lights. As soon as someone walking in the backyard the light will turn on automatically and that may deter them from coming back. This is crazy and I can't believe how stupid they are to keep coming back. Last week someone came and took my recyle garbage container right from my front yard. I found that to be really ridiulous.
Good luck to you and I hope they don't come back.

Hi lenlin! Well actually, the first two incidents they entered my backyard I never heard anything so I don't know what particular time they are striking. My dogs aren't even barking. I would just notice that something have been missing from my stuffs. I don't always go out in my backyard unless I do the laundry and that's every weekend and at nights when I feed the cat but I don't roam or inspect the backyard everyday.
My cousins are in the police service but I can't call them unless the crime is actually happening. The other night and that's the 3rd time when the burglars entered my backyard my chihuahua just happen to woke me up cause she feels peeing. I suddenly heard whispers and it came a shock to me and I wasn't able to call my relatives. I am also not sure whether I am really hearing people whispering. I opened the backdoor but then I saw no one.
When morning came I went out and got home 12 noon. I noticed that the gate of my former neighbor was opened so I immediately checked my backyard, then, I noticed that my basin I use for laundry and the last chair was missing. They might have stolen them when I was out.
These burglars are really making me crazy!!

hello iskayz
Most Specially that there was a Typhoon that hit us a few days ago. and this time they might risk it again. i think you should put a loud alarm in your house. You may also have a police get involved into this kind of problem. they do capture burglars, better than your relatives, what if they have a weapon that could harm them. the only experienced that i had burglars, is with kids stealing from our mango tree and a black cat scratching through our garbage..
be careful. if they do engage them with out the cops, besure to have a metal plate in their chest. i swear it might save them.

No, I won't accept that fact that its because of the typhoon that's why they have been stealing. I believe poor people have a good heart and they don't usually steal. These people that have been stealing in my backyard are expert burglars. They know when to strike and when not to.
They didn't came back last night. It rained a little so I guess that's the reason why they didn't went out. They also might have figured that I already knew someone have been stealing cause they found out the other night that I have fixed the fence and tied up and secured my stuffs.
I knew my cousins can capture those burglars. I have relatives in the police service. We are trying to lure them in actually.

i hope that you do catch them with those bottles. what about this idea.. get a noisy, barking dog. but then again, maybe it's not allowed in your apartment. i hope the burglary stops and all those thieves would get the proper discipline.
