Him saying that Black Sabbath would have tried to be like Led Zeppelin and that there would have been no Sabbath without them and that heavy metal really began with Immigration song not Iron Man. O.o Other then the fact that they sound nothing like each other I try to point out to him that Sabbath and Zeppelin both began in 1968 and funny enough Led Zep 3 with immigration song was released in 1970 same as Paranoid with Iron Man. your thoughts?

Well, he is an idiot. If you listen to the sound of each band, Black Sabbath contributed more to Heavy Metal than Le Zeppelin, hell even Deep Purple did. I know that a lot of people will say you can go back, a little further than Sabbath and Zep, band like Cream, but really Purple, Zep and Sabbath Pioneerd Heavy Metal. Anyway, I agree with you, Sabbath Paranoid, well, their Debut album, was more Metal than any of Zep's stuff. Yeah, kick him in the head ahah

this kind of discussions dont really make too much sense. I dont believe there a single song that began heavy metal but instead BS and LZ are both great bands that contributed to the creation of heavy metal.
