I Have just received a letter from a former speaker of the House (1995-1999), Newt Gingrich, who has teamed up with CUF (Citizens United Foundations) to produce and distribute across the nation, a film called "Rediscovering God In American".The reasons for the film is to alert, and teach all Americans about what the ACLU is trying to do, and what they have done just in the past 50 years. The ACLU lawyers and left-wing judges have been outlawing God in our culture. They insist that "separation of church and states" means that "under God" must be removed from the Pledge of Allegiance; "In God we Trust" taken off U.S. currency; and all references to God erased from American history textbooks. Already they have taking public prayer, not only out of schools, but out of graduations ceremonies; and the Ten Commandments can no longer be displayed in a Public School. These redical secularists don't want our children to know that the Founding Fathers built this nation on a faith in God. They've just about convinced an entire generation of Americans that even mentioning God in public is against the law. But they've got it backwards! The U.S. Constituion guarantees our right to worship God at home, at work, and even at school. That's exactly what our Founding Fathers intended. In fact, Benjamin Franklin proposed that the Consitutional Convention of 1787 begin each day with a prayer. If anyone has visited our Nation's Capital, you will see "Praise be to God" inscribed in the capstone of the Washington Momument; that "in God We Trust" is written over the southern entrance of the U.S. Capitol; that an image of the 10 Commandments is engraved in bronze on the floor of the National Archives, where the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution are displayed. But the ACLU . They don't want Americans to see just how much evidence of God's role in our history is written in stone here in the buildings of our Nation's Capitol. The Film "Rediscovering God in American" will be a chance to share the truth about God's role with our children and grandchildren. CUF is funded by American patriots who do not receive one dime of federal funding, but instead try to produce films and documentaries that the Holllywod elites refuse to do. Share with me your thoughts about all of this. Are you for the removal of the name "God" in all our public arenas, our currency, our pledge of allegiance?

It is a bold move in the right direction. Although I am not aware of the proceedings in this regard, but what you have described here it is a very positive move. Why should anyone Ban anybody to pray in Public wonders me? Prayer heals the soul why to restrict it?

Unfortunately, we have very many weak politicians who give into the few who are anti God. And most of us Americans, sit back and let it happen, including myself. It is very sad!
