What Type of Pie Do You Like??

I love apple pie! esp home made, warm it up with vanilla ice scream on it, um o! theres something about walking into a kitchen with an apple pie baking in the oven, the smell of the apples, apple spice, etc, makes you feel warm all over, and it always brings back memorries. Never buy an apple pie, make your mother or grand mother make it, or you will leave home lol, then maybe they won't make. Thank you very much, my taste buds are scrambling..............

I just about started to just respond with the word "Yes" in this discussion. That is because I like just about any kind of pie. But, if you are going to make me choose, I guess I would have to say that pecan pie is my favorite. I remember when I was a kid. We used to go to the old G.C. Murphy's store downtown. My mom would be shopping, and my (step)dad would take me with him to the counter. He would order us both a big slice of pecan pie, me a glass of milk, and him a cup of coffee. We didn't do this too often. And I'm not sure if it was a special occasion, if he got a bonus check, or I just happened to be the only kid with him that day. Again, I'm not sure why, but it did make for a special occasion to me. I have tried to make pecan pies through the years, but I just can't get it quite right...Of course, I still eat it. LOL
