would you do it? What about the type of job you are doing now? Would it be feasible, or do you think you are meant to work for someone else all of your life in order to Survive as well? Personally, I would Love to work for myself some day and make as much as I am making now for someone else. The only problem would be that since I am Diabetic I really need the Medical I have with my job, but could sure use the Free time away just to be able to Write more stories and such as well. But then at the same time would I be able to structure my time to keep this amount still coming in as well? So what about you? Or do you work from home, and making a decent living as well? ~~TINA~~

When my girls were small, I did do a lot of work from home. There were many plusses to that. I got to be home more with the girls was the main plus. Also, because I was my own boss I could be flexible with what hours I worked. I was married at the time and so we had my husbands income as well and that was a good thing because some weeks the work just wasn't there. Another downside was that there were times that I had to chase down the money that was owed me. That is time consuming and didn't always work. Some people never came thru and paid me and all I could do is make a mental note not to do any more for that person. Court is costly and it would not have been worth it. Once I got divorced, I opted to work for someone else where I would get a weekly paycheck each and every week. To work from home or not....it really all depends on your situation.

I can't work anymore due to medical problems but the last 20 years i worked i was my own boss & i tell u it beat the heck out of working for someone as i had done for years. I didn't work from home, didn't want to. Getting home everyday was the best part of the day.

I would love to, if it would not make us lose the help for my son with special needs. His medical bills are so high, that there just is no way that I could make enough.

I use mylot, and only mylot to make money. That being said, I procrastinate, that being said, I hardly get as much mylotting as I want to get done done. So I wouldn't want to do this as a job. I am planning to go to school whenever we have the money to, and when I go to school I'll be taking online classes to be a medical transcriptionist and medical secretary. A transcriptionist can work from home, but I think you have to work for a person for awhile before you can work from home, unless you find online legit transcription. I want to be able to work from home so that I can raise mine and my fiance's future children without anyone else doing it, but if I do have to go to work, my mother in law has said she would babysit our kids for money... of course, we wouldn't want to make her wok for free! lol! She's helped us so much! In any case, did I answer your questions or just babble? Sorry if it was the latter.

Hi KrauseHome.. I would love to have the at home job. I don't work right now but I am looking for work. I need to find some work to help cover the cost of expenses. We are looking for a place to rent and hubby is only getting a few hours a week right now. So the thought of being able to work at home would be prefect. I thought of trying the answering service at home to see if that will work. I only now need to find out how to do that. You have a great day and keep smiling...

I am working in an outsourcing company and being pressure of our daily quota. If I were to choose I prefer to work at home on my own without a boss because I can work at my own pace. I just couldn't find some opportunity that I can earn more working online compare to my monthly salary.

Tina, I am hoping that at some time I will be able to do that. I am not sure how it will happen, it sure will not be MyLot and Freelancing, nice supplemental, but not much income.I would have to find private insurance as well. I was without for a couple of years and I neglected my health. I would love to make a living from home, but not by doing day care or anything like that. I want to earn from the internet, and travel more.

I wouldn't work at home if I could have the choice. I don't like sitting in front of a computer for more than a couple of hours a day.. I like getting out and about and interacting with co-workers and all that good stuff that you can really only do at an "in-real-life job". But that's just my opinion.

Yes, I would love to work from home if I could find something that's legitimate and something that would pay me enough to live on. That's the main reason why I got this computer. I am getting SSI and my family is helping me. They're not going to help me forever, though. I will be required to file for social security again when I get 62. However, I need to find something in the meantime in case i don't get it. If you ever hear of anything, please let me know. Kathy.

I would also like working from home because I can be my own boss and work flexible hours. I could also work at my own pace. I also do volunteer work and I wouldn't want to quit doing that. I had a bookstore for two years back in the '80s and I really enjoyed that. We had to go out of business, though, because we didn't do any good. I wasn't responsible for the bills on the place, though. I would have been if we had ever gotten to making over 4 or $500 a day. The most we ever made was over $300 one day. Kathy.

I am dreaming of working for myself and not under anyone. I definitely want to work online stuff and not worry about anything but so far I have not been able to get a hold of where the real money is at. I envy a lot of people who was able to start doing online stuff and are able to just stay home.

I would not mine working for someone else once in awhile. But I would rather work basicially for myself so I can make my own hours. I could also choose the days of the week I would work.

I used to work for someone, and now on my own working from home. I am still working as I deal with the accounts for the companies, however I have my own time frame in completing all these. In addition, while I am working from home, I got to spend more time with my baby girl. This is what I really enjoys doing.

I would rather work for myself most of time and have my own schedule. Right now, I am using different ways to make money online- I use ehow, bukisa, hits4pay, selling on half.com (part of ebay) and amazon, cashcrate and mylot. I would possibly work part time job (10-15 hours) just to be with people and out of the home. With spending so time on the computer, at times you need a break from what you are familiar with.

Have you ever heard of Vendio.com? Its a free ecommerce store that connects your products to ebay, shopping.com, amazon, and others. One store, 6 sites. Kinda a great deal, I think. I'm always surprised at how many people don't know how to create or start an ecommerce site. there is even affiliate based ecommerce stores, where you don't even have to store your on inventory. Online stores are becoming more mainstream now, and with all the information on the net about SEO and Metadata, you can get far with little experience and knowledge. Check it out sometime.

I would love to work from home especially now that my parents are old. I could monitor them easily and more so I could take care of their needs more easily too than renting another person not related to you to do the work for you. I guess it really does depends on the person because there are people who likes to work outdoors and there are those who does it from the comforts of their homes.

I'm trying to make a career of my writing. It's not going so well at this point. Wrote a book that no one seems to want to read although I've had a few people read it and who highly recommend it.

Earning decent money by working from home is very hard in my view. I was writing for different sites and even participating in discussion boards like Mylot, etc. But the payments are like peanuts, this these small amounts no one can make a living. I am working from home from past 2 years but never able to cross a $150 mark at all.. Some of the sites I write pay very low and this is the reason why I cannot make good money. I am not happy with this work from home making. It is better to work in a company, atleast a fixed salary one can make..

I would love to work from home and be my own boss, and to be totally honest I would hope to make mare than I am right now. I am barely making ends meet. If I could work from home for myself the first thing I would do would be to get rid of my alarm clock. I so hate being a slave to that little annoying box

I prefer to work from home rather than working for others. I am working for an outsource company where they give pressure daily. There will be targets and other hell lot of issues. I feel that Work from home concept should gain momentum. It will be useful for house wives , students ect. I Love work from home.
