Cristiano Ronaldo or Messi

Watching highlights from Champions League matches of the last few days, I can't help but think how good Ronaldo and Messi looked for their respective teams. So who do you think is the better player? Who is more valuable to their teams?

In my mind fallenjinx, messi is by far the better player, in term of skill they might be on par. But as the person, I think messi is far better and would continue to improve even more.

I agree technically Ronaldo is not the best. But his effectiveness is superb. His drive is second to none. But you are absolutely right. Messi has everything in front of him, I'm not saying Ronaldo doesn't but I suspect his best years are the last 3 years at United and the coming 3 at Real. But Messi can improve and dominate the game for at least 5-6 years to come.

I think that Ronaldo is the backbone of his team,he has great talent and health body,though he had got some trouble with his leg recently,but I still think he will come back soon and make real madrid the best team in the world!In the last few matches,he had scored 7 goals,this is a powerful respond to those who doubted him before,he will lead the world`s football a few years.He is not only the soul of Portugal,but also the soul of the whole world.
