We live in a community with lots of neighborhood kids and on Halloween they are out trick or treating way after 9pm. We usually run out of treats to meet their demand and this is every year. I hear others say that they buy lots of tricks and only get a few kids.

Hi yparson. No, I don't. In fact, I don't get any trick-or-treaters at all! In the past 14 years that I've lived here I've never gotten even 1. But that's probably because I live out in the country and no kids ever trick-or-treat out here.
Happy mylotting!

I love Halloween! It's my favorite holiday. We sadly don't get a lot of trick or treaters on our block but I do set out a bowl of candy anyway for the few that we do get. Last year though, some teenagers came at the end of the night, took all the candy, threw the bowl on the ground and kicked one of my pumpkin decorations and then hid behind some bushes not that far from our house. :( That had never happened before so to be honest, I do not know what we'll do this year. I take my own kids out trick or treating and we had gotten home and then that happened.

I live in an apartment building among businesses, and there are no children in this building (they just dind't happen to settle here, that's all) so we don't get trick-or-treaters here, but we do get them at my friend's place. We go to his place every year, and help him hand out candy, and then have a few drinks.
