Does Paris really live up to its expectations, the city of romance, the city of lights etc...
I have been to Paris and don't get me wrong it is one of the best cities in Europe of course and is a main attraction site for all tourists. However, have any of you been dissapointed with it for some reason. Or did it live up to its expectation. Thank you.

I think Paris does live up to its expectations as being a romantic city. I have to say that I am an experienced traveler and I know other cities that I think are better. I love Bruges in Belgium. It is so pretty and had lots of old buildings. It is known as the Venice of the North because of all its canals. I also adore cities like Prague, Budapest and Istanbul. All of those are romantic destinations.

I agree with you there, and just to reiterrate that Paris is somewhat hyped up by the media and media coverage of Paris. Personally, I also prefer Istanbul, Zurich and Prague over Paris.
Paris should try to broaden its appeal to other types of tourists more, albeit having a Disney World set up already to attract theyounger ones. However there should be more for the teens and old couples like to set up campsites for them on the suburbs.
