Do Your Ears Hang Low?

The other day I was listening to something while I was doing something else. It said that your earlobes get longer as you get older. This statement made me go get my measuring tape and head for a mirror. I hadn't really thought about it before or I would probably have been measuring my ears every year, just to see.
But, it is never too late to start, I suppose. From now on, every year on my birthday, I am going to measure my ears, just to see if the lobes are getting longer.
Now, I know my ear lobes are not as "plump" as they used to be. Could it just be that as we get older and, lose that "firm, youthful look", our earlobes just LOOK longer?
What do you think? Do they really get longer or, does age just make them look that way?

Heavy earrings make them look that way? idk
And on a grosser topic, I saw part of CSI last night and somebody had actually tied a murder victim's intestines in a bow. Which had me singing a rather macabre version of the song...
No wonder my kids think I'm nuts...

*L* I saw the episode but, hadn't really thought about it until now. Thanks, Dawn, now that is going to be in my head the rest of the day!

Yeah, but you don't wear big, heavy dangly earrings, Irish.
Pikey, I am sure if they wear long, heavy earrings, it does stretch them a bit. *shrugs*

I think that I read somewhere, in one of those "useless facts" e-mails, that one's ears, and nose, never stop growing.

Ears AND noses! Both continue to grow throughout our lives apparently, so if they manage to increase lifespans to beyond 150, we'll have heaps of elderly people running around that look like Pinocchio and Dumbo's love children! I've never monitored my ear growth, but I'm noticing hair growing out of places I never thought possible! Why on earth would I need hairs growing from the top of my ears you reckon??? I'll have me one heck of an interesting comb-over option by the time I'm 60!

OMG! I don't know if I should laugh or be grossed out by that mental image!
Hey! Speaking of hair growing from odd places, maybe if I stop taking all that testosterone, the hair on my upper lip will disappear. What do you think?
