Well, right now I am sitting in the dentist chair, just finished getting my 100 or so x-rays done and am waiting for further torture from the dentist and his assistant. They did the x-rays and now will do the cleaning. I just hope he has time to do a filling that I desperately need. It fell out a couple of years ago and it really hurts when I brush that tooth or eat on it. There is a big crater in my tooth! (Or as the dentist just called it - "The Grand Canyon"!!
Ok, just saw the dentist. He put in a temporary filling and now I have to come back in 1 1/2 hours for a cleaning. Gotta love the dentist!
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

You are very lucky to have a sweet dentist who would assure his patients to relax and be calm prior to the procedures. The only things I hate in going to the dentist is when they clean teeth I always get a terrible shaking of my gum after the procedures then my chin feel swollen and it is not easy to eat food. The tooth filling never hurts me but i am concern more on the cleaning aspects. Hopefully your dentist is nice and friendly to assist you without too much pressure on her parts to make you suffer from agony after the procedures is done.

When the dental hygienist hurt me one time, the dentist took over doing my cleanings for quite awhile.

I hate going to the dentist. I need to go have a cleaning done sometime soon though. I also need to make my son's first dentist appt to go have his teeth counted. I hope he does ok for the first time and I hope he's not too scared. I'm not going to act like I'm bothered by being there so he doesn't see the fear in me. lol

Just make a note of that temp filling. My dentist gave me 3 temp fillings in one tooth and 4 in another. The last visit he told me I needed root canal therapy. When I pointed out that he had been doing those temp fillings and asked him why he asked me how I knew. I told him I kept my bills and that I had checked them just before this appointment. He so had the sh!ts with me. He was ripping me off. I have not been to a dentist since, I have 2 giant craters and yet I have had no problems with my teeth, pain wise at least. My gums are receding a bit in a couple of places but that is not worrying me. Just because these people have a sign saying they are a dentist or a doctor or whatever does not mean we can trust them...and I don't.

LOL I do know what you mean. Well, my dentist really isnt a chatty person. She's all business and gives motherly advice how to take better care of my teeth. She tells me where the problem teeth are and what better way to deal with them. Yes, I meant "teeth" and not just a tooth. Ive had many experience with those x-rays too and I kinda like the tooth x-rays. Im very fascinated by the film since its so small then there's the photo of my teeth on it.LOL I just think that its cute since its small.^_^
I havent experienced a filling falling out. All of my fillings are permanent and its nice that my dentist used the tooth colored paste, not those very obvious silver looking things. I also did have a huge crater on one of my back tooths(forgot what they're called...molars?) Both of them had holes that Id have to have root canals.
I dont really know why most people dont like root canals. They're fine with me. Not painful at all. I think Ive had at least 4 root canals. Im not sure though I lost count after number 2.LOL
Well, hope you're teeth are fine now. Have a great week!^_^

i spent about 1 years going to the dentist..sadly i broke my front tooth at half, and i had to excavate it fully, remove it, creating a new "root" and capsuling it with a replacing tooth...i have suffered so much but is about 20 years my fake tooth is doing is job..not too bad ;-) i payed it the corrispective of today 2500-3000$ ...

I am impressed that you can get these things all done in one day. I hope your temporary filling holds for awhile until he can get the permanent one. We don't need random stuff falling into the Grand Canyon.

you bring your computer to the dentist? I hate the dentist so much but I go because it is important. I'm glad they put in your temporary filling. Let me tell you that 15 years ago, I had some temp. fillings done. They were temporary because at the time I could not afford the permanent ones. He told me to be saving my money for the permanent ones as these would not be lasting. Well, guess what?....they have lasted amazingingly well. Last year I was eating peanuts and chipped one and it needed to be repaired but other than that I've been good and saved myself a bundle of money. One of my temparary fillings has been intact without a problem for 20 years.

I'm blessed with a wonderful dentist that is one of the very few who doesn't hurt me. I don't dread going to the dentist anymore, only the hit to my wallet! I'm due for a cleaning and have to make an appointment. I hope your tooth pain goes away completely after the permanent filling is put in!
