I agree with the one who said you should ask for the $$ and then see what you have to do to claim it, and how much it would really cost you. A lot of the time they end up wanting a lot of your personal information so I would consider these type a SCAM for sure. But what I tend to do if I can with Emails such as this, is Block their Email address from addresses acceptable and hope for the Best from there.

I just block those idiots when I get the emails. He can't sue you, because you only spoke the truth. He IS an idiot if he thinks you're going to fall for his scam. He's assuming that you are the idiot! I get at least one of those a day. They think I'm stupid. I resent the assumption and should sue them for implied defamation of character!

I received that kind of email too, once or twice. But I immediately deleted it. Maybe I'll try your way to reply them if I get another one, then we'll see how they'll respond to it. :D

I have received these types of e-mails many times and they're all scams. Just delete these types of messages because they're using baseless scare tactics at times. What they are doing is send e-mails at random and just trying to see who will respond. Don't respond to their messages, that would be my best advice that I could possibly give you.
