why people are so possessive?

hello to all of you:)
I am a possessive person that is why ,IT is because of me,my best friend left me alone...now she doesn't talks to me.I really feel bad because i hurt her badly.It was all my fault:(..she trusted me a lot,we used to talk everyday and night.we were best buddies but now everything is over between us because of my possessiveness nature:(.I know i am little possessive about my friends and because of that i lost a gem from my life..[:(]
Here, you can share your views and also i would like to know why dis happens?
And are you possessive about your friends??

i think when you love someone very dearly its but natural that you are possesive about the person. I too am possesive about my husband and the same thing is from his end too. Yes it is sometimes irritating when he becomes overpossessive and i do point out to him that i dont like this.

Being possessive and sarcastic may harm any relationship.Being carefull is different but being possessive makes your partmers life somewhat messy.I am sorry that you have lost one of your bestest friends, but then it has taught you something and i know you will always keep a track of it and be carefull in life.

hello,
I think being possessive can have a very very bad effect on friendships, i know a few who try that on me back in my college days. but in time i grew tired with them that i never wanted to hang out with them ever again.because at that time, i knew i felt as i am being used some how,after she had lost friends of her own.
