And both of you were going on and on til you figured out it wasn't you?
I had a lady once tell me she worked with my half sister. I'm like um... ok. Since I hardly speak to my half sister and hardly have a relationship at all with her for her to be talking about me or have pics of me around ect. So I keep talking to the lady til she asks how my sister's baby is.... my half sister wasn't pregnant. She is unable to have kids. But it was soooo weird how she was carrying on about her, same first name and all tile we got to the pregnancy part *LOL*

well, not quite the same, but I used to get asked all the time if I had a sister named "P"
Well, yes, I do, but I had to ask HOW they know this "P" because there is another gal in town who actually looked more like me than my sister did at the time by the same name - fortunately I knew her...
Now, I did once have a teacher, on the first day of school, stop in front of my desk (after pacing by me and staring at me for 10 minutes) and ask "Do you have a sister who swims?" the answer was "yes"

You also reminded me of my girls. My younger girl started school half days and a woman was visiting the class and saw my oldest in the rest room. And asked the teacher "didn't I just see her in the rest room?' & it was the older not the younger who was in the class she was observing.

some people mistake me as my sister. we have the same build and hair length. but she has fairer complexion than i do. i am more brown-skinned. and her eyes are big and mine are chinky. so i don't know why that happens. it's funny.

Maybe at a glance you look more alike until one gets up close to notice the differences. Or sometimes even looking at the both of you and comparing you to your parents as to who has this or that feature over the other.

once-i had some lady come into where i worked and accuse me of sleeping with her husband.i had no idea who she was talking about-or who she was for that matter.
she insisted i was "so and so girl" even after the other employees told her i wasn't.
i don't know if she was crazy or what.

When I was a kid I used to bounce back and forth between my mother's house and my foster mom's house... by choice, not court appointed. I'd spend weekends and school holidays with foster mom.
One night I called my mom from my foster mom's just to chat. The first thing she asks is "What's wrong? Do you want to come home?" I said No, I'm just calling to talk. She continued to insist that something must be wrong in order for me to call. After a few moments of this I ask "Is this Sue?" she says Yes. So I ask the last name as well, she says no!
From what I gather, she had a daughter who was having a sleep over that night and she thought I was her daughter, just like for a few minutes I thought she was my mother!

There have been a few times when I have been mistaken for somebody else. Supposedly, I am the spitting image of somebody's sister in my hometown. I 've had people come up to me and make conversation with me about her, thinking I was her. What would I do if I came fave to face with her? I would probably freak out!!

It's the other way around. ..
I have many times mistaken other people to be someone else. I blame it to my poor eyesight. .. or it could be because of my my poor memory recall when it comes to faces and names.
Worst is, I call or talk to them and when they are near me or as I'm talking to them, it's only then that I realize that they are the person I know.

Yeah I had experienced this thigs before when someone called me for another name and I said that I think you are talking to a wrong person and he said to me that oh I am sorry. So its ok. I also experienced this things not so often but it is really wierd because someone approach you that you didn't even know who is that person but anyway its just a matter of mistake no bodies perfect.

LOL! Yeah, I also had the similar experience. A long time ago, my friend mentioned about my cousin. It was a 'she', and my friend described her as she has her own description. Just like yours, same name, same hair color, same type of face and even same style of talking. I barely even talked to my cousin, so we didn't talk that much, we didn't even know each other that good. And one day, we planned to gather together, when my friend invited me and 'so-called-my-cousin' and then DOOORRRRRR!!! IT WASN'T SHE! LOL...

It did happen to me once and I was shocked because she is talking something which I don't know what she is talking. I keep pardoning but she just admitted that she had been mistaken me for someone else. She though that I am her friend before which lost a communication for years.

I've often been told I look like someone that someone knows. I've been called names similar to my nickname! I have a very generic face so I can understand that. People who know someone who has a friend that looks like me (that they have met) often confuse me with that person.
It doesn't bother or offend me. I just feel sorry for the person who looks like me! I'm no beauty, I'm very plain and generic. I like to think that everyone has some feature that sets them apart and when people confuse me with some other person, I'm sad for that person.

hi 3snugglebunnies a number of years back shortley after the end of the second world war, I was in the greyhound station waiting of my bus to go home for the weekend. And suddenly a man
grabs me from behind, whirls me around and plants a big
smooch on my lips and yells, Ruthie you did come.
then he looks at me as I stand there stunned and look at this
man in a soldiers uniform. Oh myGod I am so sorry. Miss,do forgive me, you look just like Ruthie. He showed me her
picture and my goodness she looked like my twin even to
the way we wore our hair, and the sort of clothes we wore.
We got to chatting and I found out his Ruthie was a second
cousin of mine whom I had never met. He and I were really
surprised when I found that out. Sadly I never did see him
again. I learned later he was killed crossing the street'when he got back to his own home town. so sad.

Hi 3 snuggle.
Yep, it happens to me ALL the time that its not even funny. Im either someone's long lost sister, or someone's far away cousin and to make it worse, always in the worse or most ackward moment.
The worst confusion of that kind was when my husband and I went to the movies and we left our son with a nanny at the time. I normally dress in black (just because its what I have mostly in my wardrobe) but this time, I got myself a nice red dress with heels to match cause I wanted to look extra special, (it was Valentine's), I did my hair and I must say I looked pretty nice. My hubbie dressed up a bit too and shaved his face.
Anyway, while at the movies, we were just waiting for the movie theater to get empty and we went to buy some popcorn went suddenly I felt my arm being pulled and it was this guy that while pulling my arm he yelled.. " SO HERE YOU ARE CAROL!! I FINALLY COUGHT YOU! and then, the guy turns from bright red, to pale white!
I stood quiet, my husband replied sharply to the guy saying "who the f^^%! is Carol and take your hands off my wife". Half the movie theater was watching and the security guard entered asking what was happening... The guy told the security guard that all was fine that it was a misunderstanding, that someone had sent him a txt message saying that his wife Carol was with another guy, whoever it was, the guy said that they saw my profile and claimed it was "Carol", therefore, he went to the theater to cause havoc. Offcourse, it was a BIG misunderstanding cause they saw me, not his wife and the guy ended up having the biggest embarassment of his life.
After everything had been cleared up, my husband told the guy that he should have known better than to just go about and doing what he was doing, the guy then began to cry and told us his story.
After that I decided to just keep my wardrobe in black.

Yes, I have been mistaken for someone else quite a few times :) I have been mistaken by my aunts whom I haven't seen for a long time as my eldest sister. Other times, I am also called by my 2nd sister's name. It's a good thing my brother and I don't look alike, or else.... LOL
I've been mistaken as a saleslady in a department store (the uniform we had in college back then was quite similar to the sales people in that store), a teacher, etc. That's why I hated that uniform so much! If I am simply wearing my civilian clothes, I look like a high school kid, and could still pass for discounts at stores :D ehehhee..
