I'm in Idaho, she's in Michigan. It's a long distance relationship. Could it work...? Could it last 4 whole years?

Im in a similar situation.. although the distance isn't quite as far.... 600 miles, soon to be about 800-1,000 miles... plus a huge age gap. Going on two years now and we're both quite content :) So yes... it's very possible :) Best of luck!

Adobe4you ... Not really seeing how your answer fits in as a response to the OP or even my response.... Nowhere did anyone mention anything about cheating.

Very well said. Sacrifice is very important in long distance relationships. You've got to wait and be honest to your partner. You should not entertain suitors. Communication should be intact for the relationship to really last.

Yes it would work. But it will really depend on both of you. I am also engage in a long distance relationship. My partner works in other country right now. I must admit it was never easy for both of us. We have to sacrifice a lot so as for the relationship to work. All you have to do is to trust each other and have faith. Love will find it's way for both of you to be happy and be together at last.

I used to be in another country. Then, I came to the USA to study for college for 4 years. Once I got here, I realized that she's only a 3 hour flight away from me... and it became real to me. :) I'm very happy with her as my grilfriend. I love her. She loves me. :D Thank you very much for sharing that. It's good to meet like-minded people.

i think long distance relationships are a test of FAITHFULLNESS. I mean if ur partner can't stick to the kind of relationship you two are having, then ur partner is not being loyal to you. Although it is possible for it last for you, i suggest you two should get in touch daily and both should feel that they are being loved. Good Luck to you. i hope you'll be successful in love. ^^

We talk every day. Hell, I don't feel good if I don't talk to her every day. I asume that the same applies to her. :) We're doing our best... hopefully, it'll work out. You've gotta have faith in one another.

Yes, it could work if both of you have the same kind of commitment towards each other. If there are lots of things in life that demand priority attention from anyone of you, it will be a bit hard to prioritize the relationship. I suggest you talk it out with her and if she's up for it, then you and her can make it happen for sure. Trust, honesty and patience is the key. Good luck, friend..

It can work if your love for each other is so deep, and it's up to the to of you. you should arrange schedules of visiting each other as often as always. communication is the number one factor too of having a long distance relationship.

hello jtendar, It depends on the relationship. as long as you two continue to communicate until such tine you get to meet and see each other. it's up to the both of you or you will have trouble maintaining the relationship.

It's possible man. I'm in Philippines and she's in Singapore but were happy. Sure there are some ups and downs but it's normal. In December we will be celebrating our third year anniversary. Patience and understanding is the key and of course trust.

long distance is really hard. but for the sake of love nothing is impossible. just be sure that its love. love will only be successful if both partness are willing. both of them must strive to get that relationship working.

Try your best, if she is the one. I had a long distance relationship with my hubby when I was in college abroad while he was still in our home county for 6yrs. It worked, though i didn't know how did we make it, but we did, maybe that's the true love.

it is possible but not absolute. It depends on many factors. My best friend has the same situation. Her boyfriend met another girl after one year. Good luck!
