Mostly I read the book first before I watched the movie. And if I like them both, I bought a DVD copy. I have some collections of famous books that made into the big screen. From Gone with the wind, Shinning through and my latest is My sister's keeper. My favorite book to film is Pride and Prejudice.
Do you first watch the movie before you read the book or vice versa? What is your favorite books that made into movies?

I don't really like horror movies. I'd watched amityville horror 2005 version with my friends because they said it's a true story and it scares me a lot. I didn't thoroughly able to watched the movie, I often asked my friend what happened.lOL

I liked harry potter and saw the picture first rather than reading the story.I think the film is a ready to serve meal for the audiences and easier than reading too.
So,if I watch a movie then I never read the same book.
And If by chance I read a book then I do not watch the movie.

In harry potter I like the movie than book version because it gives me a clear vision of what it was said on the book, and I found it more entertaining. Usually I got curious what it was like in a movie when I read the book, especially if the book was great. So most of the time I watched the movie after reading a book.
Anyway thank you for sharing with us and have a great day!

I like the Harry Potter books. I am not really fond of the movie. I also like the Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mirch Albom. It was also turned into a movie. I like to read first the book than the movie since movies are only adaptations.

the best book to movie is Into the Wild. The story is so powerful, and even though it loses some of it's accuracey in the movie, it's still one of the saddest stories that I'll ever hear. Even if you're not into this sort of movie, it's worth watching just for the soundtrack by Eddie Vedder.
