I don't believe any music causes violent behavior. It's MUSIC for pete's sake!
If a person is inclined to be violent, then they will be. It doesn't matter if they listen to metal, rap or classical.

I think that a person who already has a tendancy toward violence can be influenced by some types of music. I think that violent people can utilize music to support their violence. I think a non violent person would not be turned into a violent one because of music alone. At the same time I think any music that advocates violence should be rated so that people can choose to listen or not. I for one don't see what purpose it serves when they could easily change the words to deliver a more neutral or even positive message. But I support the right to free speech - just let me know that the lyrics are violent so I can choose not to listen.
