Do you prefer Barbra Streisand or Mariah Carey?

For me the answer to that question without a doubt is Barbra Streisand. She has a wonderful voice that is timeless. Her live performances are great. She sings with as much power in her voice today as she did in her youth.

Barbra is a beautiful singer. I have always liked her music. Mariah is a beautiful singer to. Just Barbra Streisand has been a singer a lot longer then Mariah Carey has been. But both have beautiful voices. I like to listen to them both sing. I like them both but if I had to choose it would have to be Barbra Streisand.

I prefer Barbra Streisand though I like couple of Mariah Carey's songs like I will be there. Barbra's songs are clear and she gives stress to the words whereas Mariah takes it in a lighter sense. This is her way of singing. But certainly Mariah is no less talent.

hi sender 621 oh I love Barbara Streisand as she is the most talented woman singer I have ever heard, and so great she just endures forever like a great legend. She is indeed timeless and I never get tired of listening to her sing. I also like Mariah Carey but Barbara much better.

Both of these women have beautiful and unique voices. I don't particularly care for the type of music Mariah Carey sings so I don't listen to her very often. I have some of Barbra Streisand's albums, but seldom listen to them. I don't care for her personality and that makes it hard, for me, to enjoy her any longer.

Barbra Streisand is a legend. She made great songs over the past years and her vocal style is very unique. Same with Mariah Carey she became one of the best international singers of all time and captured many hearts with her numerous album. No doubt that her voice range is more powerful than Barbra but I like Miss Streisand more because there is something unique about her voice. It is so pleasant to the ears, I actually find it sweet and soothing. But both of them are really talented singers..if I can choose both of them much better.

Personally I don't comapre the two of them, they are from different times as far as I am concerned. Barbara Striesand was great in her day, the best of her time. Mariah Carey is more modern and a great singer to but I don't know if she will have the longevity that Barbara Striesand has, time will tell about that. I have to say though that Celine Dion is probably the best singer living today. Her voice is remarkable I saw her live in Las Vegas and she could do a 2 hours show and at perfect pitch the entire time, very impressive.

I love Barbara Streisand because she has a much better voice then Mariah Carey to me. Barbara sings nice and clear while Mariah, screeches alot and whispers alot. I don't see the big deal over Mariah at all. Barbara is a singer, actress and director and she is excellent in all of these fields.

I personally myself prefer Mariah Carey. I like Barbara but she is an oldie. Mariiah is more up to date music. Barbara was played back when i was a teen '80's. Both women are great singers. They both can preform and look good on stage so i guess that's all that matters.

Barbra streisand and Mariah Carey are both popular stars no matter in their country or all around the world. Different sound features for both signers. For me, I are prone to love Barbra Strisand, I still remember her Song WOMAN IN LOVE, so classical," I am a woman in love, I'd do anything to get you into my world." The songs MOONRIVER and MEMORY are my favorite songs too, the slow melody of moon river, really hit my heart. And Memory at the beginning," Leave night, not a sound from pavement." I can not illustrate more to take up the space here. LOL. Happy Mylotting.
