robot as a pets

Is it possible in the future robot will replace out pets?.Can you imagine you have robot cat, robot dog and robot mice as a pets.

Robots will probably become the future's pets. If you had a robot dog for example, it would not bark, (unless instructed) it doesn't poop, eat, and will never die. Because this is a robot, it might not gain a lot of popularity, because a robot dog is not real. A robot is a robot, man-made, a heart of silicon and plastic. I would be hard to love (in my opinion) a plastic programmed thing.

yes, of course.
the development of robot industry or embedded system is growing at an unprecedent speed.
u NOW already can see various smart electronic devices everywhere.
the robot pets are already there. probaly made by SONY. whoever make it~~
you will see more and more robot pets in the near future.
that's my opinion.

I believe that robot ones will never replace the live ones, maybe human beings will use the technology appearing in Arnold Schwarzenegger's film "the sixth day" to duplicate our pets, but they will never blend a live dog with a robot dog, of course, the machinery bugs may agree with the plan that go to sleep with their arms around a robot dog.
