I am not putting an age limit on my kids for trick or treating.... They will come along and tell me when they are getting too old for it. My 10 year old still enjoys going out with his younger brother and sisters. I am sure that he will be doing his own thing in a couple of years and want to hang with his friends instead of going trick or treating. :)

Believe me or believe me, I never tried trick or treat until I was working. Hehehe.. I live in a farm when I was young and no kids nearby. Too bad. I also would like to try costume party in Halloween, think that would be fun. We had one last year in our office but I didn’t join, I was just a newbie then so I was shy to dress up. :B

Never!! lol
I think that 17 is a good year to stop because you're becoming an adult. I trick or treated through my teen years and it was ALWAYS fun to do. I think when to stop is a choice that each person has to make.
I still go trick or treating...as a watchful parent. ;) I don't have my own pail. I take the kids to get treats but some people will say "How about a treat for Mom?" so I'll take one then.

Hmm... I really don't know.
Ever opened the door during trick or treating and you tell yourself, "Wow, this kid is big, and he is still trick or treating?!?".
That would be the age where it is too old to do trick or treating!
At least, that is what I would do if I cannot find a definitive answer.
Cos if you have such a reaction towards the kid that you consider big, then the same will go for other parents when they see your kids at that age doing treat or tricking. Agree?

I think that when children get to about 11 they should stop doing trick or treat as that is really for little children to enjoy.I love taking my boys trick or treating as they enjoy things like that.I always ensure the boys are with an adult as you never know who is behind a door.

my friends son is 11 and i don't see him stopping...he's still so innocent and child like...but i do agree they should always be with an adult...my friend had a lil boy go into her house because the outside was decorated and he thought that it was a haunted house and no adult ever came chasing after him...
