Idiots on e-bay

I am sorry for using such terms but my God some people deserve what they get. There is this particular seller (no longer active I assume using other account now) he has over 40 pages of negative feedback and people still bid on his items. If you read it you will see the same thing :did nor recive item, missing parts, took for ever to get to me. Why bid on it when there is a huge risk. Mind you this person was selling mobile phones so its not $1 thing. When I bid on things I always check feedback and when few negatives wont change my mind 40 pages of negatives will. What do you think who is the idiot here? would you bid on such items knowing the risk?

It sounds like them bidding on these items has upset you! I wonder why? It's certainly not your problem, is it? You never know the situation these people are in when bidding, and whether or not they're new. A lot of people don't know how the rating system works until they start getting the hang of eBay a little more (admit it - it CAN get to be confusing!) and some people like to think about the best in people rather than the opposite. I definitely would check ratings if I was bidding; it is the sensible thing to do. If someone doesn't do that, though, I wouldn't call them an idiot, I just wouldn't say that's a very smart thing to do.

I dont know where you got the impresion that I was upset why would I be upset if an unknown person lost money in a scam. I am opening a discussion here as this is the whole point of mylot to discuss things. And no most people I see living feedback in this particular case are not new to e-bay. The reason I had to check this person is because I am selling something and the highest bider on my item left 3 negative feedbacks on the same seller (he got 3 mobiles each about 2-3 weeks aparta and got none of them as it looks) so I wanted to see why did he live so many feedbacks so it does not happen to me. Because I take this steps I have a perfect score which is important to me as I do sell a lot of things and want to keep my buisness (thats how I fund my autistis son therapy)

my understanding is that you want to sell fresh fruits and vegetables there is no way you will be allowed to do that and they are right to have that restrictions as you can bring lots of plant desieases and bugs with them. Also Australia does a lot to protect its farmers. And string beans and sweet potato are availabele on every corner here so there is no market for them.

I guess they're just too anxious to get a good deal to look closely. Sometimes the gatta have it now mentality gets a lot of people in trouble.

I like many people these days am finding money a little harder to come by...and a little easier to dispense with, so am extremely cautious! Negative feedback, no matter how earnestly I wished the product would certainly deter me! I guess what surprises me, is the e-bay, with that many demerits, still allows this person on their website! I think that if I stumbled across this person, I might ask e-bay a few questions! Guess you have "blown a hole" in my beliefs, as I was under the impression that e-bay had higher standards with their sellers! Thanks for the "heads up" dear friend...I will look at e=bay in a less jaded manner. Cheers!

I was shocked to see that to be honest. This person had about 2000 negative or neutral feedback plus probably about 5 pages of "seller and buyer agreed to widraw feedback" thing and I bet of those people few complained to e-bay and he was still allowed to trade that just shows that they are after profits and nothing more after all they get zero from buyers but charge the seller so they dont care. But to see some people buying things from this guy its what confuses me the most.

You have to be real careful of who you buy from on ebay, I always their feedback first. I've bought some items that took forever to get to me, and I don't know why on some items the shipping is higher than the price of the item. I don't think they should be able to charge whatever they want for shipping, then take forever to get to you or it doesn't work or has parts missing.

It does sound silly that people bid on items placed by such a person. This just shows that people are careless. They are also careless with their own money. It would be their own fault if they get any problem with their product.

no chance on the face of the earth that i would every even think about bidding on an item that is from a seller like that. not to offense anyone but whoever bid on his items has to watch out a little more closely on his feedback and rating.
