Someone hacked my paypal Don't know how but they tried to send $500 to someone else. I was so mad i sent an email to the address it was supposedly sent to calling him dang near every name for fraud in the book. He sent me back a reply he didn't know anything about it and refused the $500 thank god. I apologized quickly and changed all my security at paypal and disputed it but that didn't seem needed since in fact he had refused the payment. Now my paypal in on LIMITED until I do a few things. I never thought that would actually happen to me. Now I wish I could figure out how they got my info in the first place and who they were so I could press charges or something.

That was really scary. Although we know how hackers can really get their way through this. I guess one thing we can do to prevent hackers is for us to be careful in every details that we gave in the sites that we are joining. It would also be better if the email address we use in our paypal account be different on the email address we use in the sites that we are joining. Have you tried to contact the admin of paypal regarding the matter?

Oh no that creeps me out to read that yet another persons paypal account has been hacked, it just goes to show that paypal might not be as sacure as we all think, I've had some close calls regarding my paypal account but no serious problems yet, and hope never have to go through anything like what you described and I'm also sorry to read that you had to go through such a thing.
As for finding the person who hacked your account the only thing I can recommend is that you contact paypal by phone and see if they can track or maybe get some info for you so you can contact the authority's.

Its real nice update and alert to all paypal user that we must update security and other related sensitive information frequently with paypal. And continues update and checking with paypal wont create this kind of problem with hackers.
We must be careful while proving our info to suspected service providers. We can ask paypal customer support for the reason of limiting account and how to make your account more secure.
I had a issue with limiting of my account, then I called them discussed about the issue, now it fine with me.

I am so sorry to hear that, I have had trouble with Paypal in the past, but I have never been hacked. It sounds like you have everything fixed for now. Good luck in the future.

Tell them to track it and change your password. They track them they will tell the police and they will get in trouble.

It is a good idea to change your passwords on a regular basis. I know this is a pain but if you change your passwords on sites like Paypal every couple of months, it makes it much more difficult for hackers.

This is scarry. Of course, I do not have much in my Paypal account, hardly $10 is what I am having there, but it is like somebody invading your privacy. If pay pal is being hacked, what will they think of next.
I think it is better to keep our money safe in the good old bank.

wow that is really scary to know. I have a paypal with my credit card details on there. It scared me reading what you said that if someone can just come along and get into your paypal they could have most of my money. Thanks for posting this it will definitely make me more cautious towards the things I do with my paypal.
