Just now I posted a discussion named "how many children do you want to have", I posted the discussion base on my communication with my boyfriend, and after i posted it, some related topic would show up under my discussion, and I find that there are discussion very very similar (almot exact the same) to mine "how many children do you want", which had been posted three days ago! but I am sure I didn't know that.
Have such thing ever happened to you?

I suggest for you to use the search bar here if ever you want to start a discussion. It is also stated in the guidelines. I did that very same mistake when I was just starting here. Fortunately for me, someone still responded in my discussion but it didn't get that many respondents though. Happy Mylotting:)

thank you hexeduser, I will take you advise.
I didn't read the guideline carefully, because there are too many of them, I though all forum are the same...
Thank you!

Great advice!
Just insert a word or two in the searchbar and highlight 'discussions' and you will see the results for the topic you intend starting. If you do not get any results the first time try altering the words until you are certain it has not been covered.

but I have a question, that is since i didin't realize that searching box is so useful, and now I have already posted the discussion, and some responses have been made by some of mylotter friends, will they delect my discussion?
I may have to check about this in the guideline...

Hi! I agree with Hex above. In my case, I did use the search box. At first the topic did not appear, so I tried to compose the discussion that I intended to post, but I did not post it straightaway. So, my laptop has been idle for a while. Then, when I tried to post the discussion, it automatically jumped to the login screen. So, when I signed back in again, I did not lose the discussion, but I should have checked the search box first instead of posting my discussion because when I did, I saw a discussion that was a bit similar to mine. The page has not been refreshed, that's why.

hi corrycrystal, thank you for sharing your opinion with us. I think you were talking about an "accident", sometime it does happens, sometimes we can see that the same person posted the same discussion at similar time, that may be the problem of the system, we are innocent.
