Spam on MyLot?

A friend has told me she can't come on here as it has spam and viruses and her laptop is little old... so cant afford to try and have a look with chance of making her laptop ill... lol
I've noticed that McAfee shows that there are adware, spyware and potential unwanted programs... but I can get on fine and nothing seems to be popping up badly yet...
Anyone else getting the same? Friends had same problem? How can it be fixed? And what wud be making this site 'dirty' so to speak as it comes to your spyware program...?

My old computer never picked up anything, and this computer which is my new er one isn't picking up anything and I have a really good anti virus on here. So I don't believe that there is anything at all wrong with the site.

I am here for over two years and I use AVG.
I have never ever had any problems from myLot and I am here every day both from home and from a computer at work which has also never shown any problems from myLot.
I cannot answer your query as to why your antivirus picks up things here

from the first time I joined this site, I do not have problems about spam and viruses as your friend said. At first I use Kaspersky and in the future because of anti-virus can not be updated again so I moved to Avira. Would not be seen when this happens? If my anti-virus noted in the history when and what time I infected by a viruses.

Which anti virus does your friend have? Using kaspersky or avast is the best way to go, to keep safe from viruses and malware. The others are okay but don't probably are picking up html coding as a dangerous script. My anti virus didn't detect this site but it could possibly be the iframes. There are two found but they are harmless. I can't necessarily fix your friends problem but in a way this is a alternate solution.

i've been here in mylot for years and haven't experienced any problem. besides, i do visit the site a lot of times in a day. i'm so lucky then that i am not encountering any problem as far as the spam is concern.
too bad for your friend for she can't. maybe she can make a try again.

I have never heard of anybody who got a virus from mylot. As for spam, there is some, but not so much as on some other sites.

I am a newbie on myLot and have not met a situation as you said. Maybe there is just a misunderstanding between myLot and your friend. myLot is a great website, isn't it?
You konw, I don't have my computer picked up any safety software and it works well. So, it seems that there must be a misunderstanding, no spyware program of course.

its not just her n mylot... its McAfee... please people read the comments that i leave aswell as what others have put... as u will be writing same thing as others have and I will be repeating myself aswell.
Mcafee has picked up something on here aswell... sorry if im snappy but i HATE to repeat myself...
