I have fainted once and it was awful. I was at work and I was not feeling well and ended up fainting. I was a cashier at a store and I fainted when cash draw was open and anyone could have just stole money. Luckily that did not happen. I ended goimg to the doctor and finding out my iron was dangerously low and he put on iron pills. Then I was fine. I never fainted again. That I was thankful for. I don't ever want that to happen to me again.

Yes, actually I have. I fainted back in May of this year. My family and I had been sick with a stomach flu and couldn't hold anything down (not even water) without it coming right back up. I was at the kitchen sink when it hit. First my arms went numb...then my legs. The next thing I knew I came to while laying on the floor. I guess with the lack of food and being sick it made me weak enough to pass out. It was the only time that I have. I hope to never go through that again as it was not a fun experience at all.
Happy mylotting!

I think I too fainted once when I was very small, probably too small to remember. I had a very high fever which led to fainting. My sister fainted a couple of years ago due to too much work in the sun. I am very thankful that I haven't fainted again and also that my sister hasn't fainted again. I take good precautions to ensure not fainting again.

Hi Tuckersheri,
I have fainted several times in my entire life. The most common reason is when i have my monthly period that's very irregular (twice or thrice a year only). my period lasted for almost two weeks with heavy menses. this makes me feels so weak and even coupled with dysmenorrhea and migrane. just imagine how i am really feeling everytime i have my very "irregular" menstruation. Another one was, when i was pregnant with my second child and it happened in the office where my officemates brought me to a nearby hospital. The last time i fainted was when i was in the US, in the office too. It was due to over-fatigue. I've been working from Mondays-Sundays no day off. I have one full time job and two other part time jobs. 911 came to the rescue and advised me to rest for a week!
Now, I am fine. I am more conscious with my health and self-care is a MUST for me! I have a stress management program to help me cope and handle life's stress. So, no more fainting episode for me!

I have fainted two times, first time i was sick, all i can remember was i did see completely golden color, that it. second time was because of the long time of sun shine, this time was total black. but the only common thing is, my head hurt from the bumping into the ground.

THis happened to me twice, though the second one was not a total one.THe first instance was when I was undergoing an IVP test for some UTI infection investigation..Some iodine was injected and I developed minor allergy. So, they gave me an antiallergic injection to carry out the test. After getting up I just fainted. My sister was with me and I recovered soon.Second one was recent after some continuous stomach infection and dehydration.I w as alone at the doctor's place and when I had to stand up ,suddenly ,I could not balance properly and had to lie down.My husband had to be summoned to escort me back home.

Yes I have apparently it runs in my family we are prone to fainting.
One time I fainted when I was visiting my niece who was a baby at the time in hospital she was under strip lights because she was slightly jaundice and it was very hot in the room she was in. I was just 15 at the time I felt myself falling luckily my dad caught me and the nurse got a chair for me I was okay though after cooling down a bit.
Another time I was at the hand clinic with my daughter and I started feeling very faint so we sat down the next thing I knew I was lying on a hospital bed.I had given the nurse a scare she told me she had never seen anyone look so pale looking. I di not want to make a fuss but they insisted that I had to go down to A&E to be checked out but they found nothing wrong so put it down to me being exhausted and overheated.
I am glad to hear that you are okay now.

I have felt exactly like that. One time I was out shopping with my son and husband, and it was a very hot day. I started to feel light headed, and I started to see spots. My knees got real weak. I stated to fail but I caught myself. I finally started to feel better after I sat down for about a hour outside of the store. After we made it home, I laid down and took a nap until my appointment. My doctor also said my iron was really low. I took some iron medicine and started to feel like my old self.

well, i have not fainted but my sister has once at six flags. she is a diabetic so everybody was going crazy because they thought she was either very low or very high. but i turns out that it was just the heat and dehydration that caused her to faint. and she hasn't fainted since.

yes , i have experienced it i think twice...and those are during my period! particularly when its my 2nd day...what happens then was the weather is very hot and my husband and i walk from their house to the grocery and its kinda far about 20 minutes walk i think...when we get into the store, i just feel like my eyesight is getting blurry, i sweat a lot but i feel cold, and i hardly hear what my husband is saying...and i just feel weak. so what i do is i just sit there, and wait for a few moment...and when i feel a little okay, we just take a ride back home and there i just take a rest...and i'm fine again...
according to my husband i look really pale that moment...
i am just thankful that its not happening to me no anymore...

I have fainted before when I was pregnant with my second daughter. I was at college studying psychology and learning quite happily the nextt hting I know I am on the floor with all these people surrounding me checking if I was okay. I had to leave college early as she didnt want me staying incase I needed a doctor. I had to see my midwife the next day I had a high blood pressure and she thought it was pre-eclampsia which was scary. They thought that until I gave birth but didnt do anything about it!
Wow your experience sounds scary. I am more worried for you than what couldve happened to the cash tho!

Hi tuckersheri,
I have fainted as well. I was sat watching TV I think, and I got up to give my dad a hug (not sure why, I think he might have been going to bed or something), and I stood up too quick so got the little lights in front of the eyes. Well I used to get that a lot so I just kept walking towards him, but just as I was about to reach him I fainted. He tried to catch me but he either missed, or he managed to catch me and ended up felling over too, but regardless we ended up tumbling into the radio located diagonally from us. I heard all this in a fuzzy echoed haze thing and I heard him speaking but I couldn't understand him. Then a few seconds later I was back on the sofa and crying uncontrollably because of the shock, and I was so worried because I thought that dad had been yelling at me, but he hadn't. We were both fine, I think he got pretty scared, and I got a bruised arm, but other than that it was fine. I am glad to say I have never fainted since then, and now when I get the lights after standing I stay still till they have faded to avoid doing that again since it was a vile experience lol!
All the best,
Dranz

When I was a kid I use to faint when I'm in a crowded area. Places like church and market are the most common in which I experienced fainting. Since then I had a phobia on crowded places. I never go to church until now whenever there is a mass going on. That's so sad.
