I a member of several survey sites that pay pretty well for US members. Opinion Outposts recently just added a new incentive for their members, that I'm pretty excited about. I can either cashout for a check that I have been receiving already, or I can cashout for instant Amazon gift certificate. The reason I'm excited about it, is I've been saving Amazon gift certificates for a couple of months now and I have a total of $85 in my Amazon account, that I'm planning to use for Christmas shopping. I'm wanting to purchase as Wii, Wii Fit and a couple of games.
I have $28.50 in my Opinion Outposts account now. I'm going to let it build up a while, before deciding to cashout for a check or another Amazon Gift certificate.
Do you do survey sites for extra income? Do you like having options or would you simply prefer to cashout for a PayPal payment or for a check? Are you a member of Opinion Outposts?

Ha Ha, I like having the choice myself. Especially since the giftcard feature is INSTANT, verses having to wait on a check. I think that is the most attractive part for it. Plus I'm waiting on $50 in Amazon giftcards to be delivered to my door as it. So, at the end of the day. The Amazon giftcard is so valuable and versitile that I simply just might choose to have the whole amount in the Amazon gift card or maybe half. After all, it will take a minute to have whatever I do order delivered, unless it's "FREE" delivery.

Yeah if just depends on the seller and the price of the item in which you're ordering something over $25 it's usually free, shipping and handling.

I do not seem to get into doing surveys very much. I think I just do not enjoy them. I prefer all of my payments to come to my house via PayPal, to me they seem much more substantial when they all add up together in one account.

GG I'm surprised to see that you are not apart of survey sites especially OO, and many of the others that pay very well. I've found it to be a good source of escape as well as a little theraputic, in a sense of the word. Ha Ha

I am a member of Opinion Outposts but somehow, the email about this passed me by so for that info I thank you. The only thing about O.O. is that most of the surveys for me don't fit me and I don't earn money on there a lot. just a little bit. I have cashed out once and that was because I didn't know I was eligible to cash out. I may do what you are doing and convert it to a Amazon Gift card myself because I love shopping there. Thanks.

Savvynlady I love the "FRO." You're welcome, my friend who is a referral of mind in another website we're on let me know that they sent out a email about the change, but I didn't receive that email either. I just notice the post of the announcement when I logged into the survey backoffice in order to complete a survey that was avaiable to me. Sorry you're not earning much on the site. Maybe you should check out your profile questionaires to ensure that the information you put in them is the most up-to-date info about you, that should get you more invite opportunities. I know for a fact that most survey companies are a bit more particle to women anyway, because of they are truly the shoppers out of most men anyways. Hope your income improves.

I'm a member of Op Outposts too and I love this new payout feature. Some people just don't like the hassle of waiting a few weeks for a check to arrive and this gives them an option of having an Amazon credit code emailed to them almost immediately.
It's a great way to earn some holiday spending money...almost zero delay in being able to purchase gifts on Amazon.com....I love it!
It's a great way to attract new referrals and earn a little bit extra ourselves

Yeah instant in my opinion is always better. I just got the email from them letting us know that they are phrasing out the check option all together at the end of this year. That's great that they let us know in advance. And that they are offering the Visa GC in lieu of the checks. I like it either way. It's basically spending other peoples money on the things that I want/need anyway. I'm like you regarding the Amazon holiday spending. I already have $85 in Giftcards saved up and I actually have $50 in Amazon giftcards being mailed to me right now.
Are you using GSN? If not, you need to check them out. A lot of us on Gather are using that to literally pay for Christmas. One of my good friends has already ordered a Nintendo Wii using her Giftcards that she has accumulated from there. Very COOL site and plenty of ways to earn OODLE points. Check it out if your in the US and it's FREE. I don't have a referral link, yet; so no worries there. But they are going to start a referral program soon.

This is great news in my opinion. The bank teller at my bank always questions whether the checks from these online sites are legit. I'm kind of fed up bringing these checks into the bank now. Amazon is great because I shop a lot on there and its instant. No one there to question me either.

LoL ~ I'm surprised you get questioned by your bank tellers?! That seems odd to me and very unprofessional on their part. You must know them personally for them to treat you that way. Besides if you are just depositing the checks into your account, it shouldn't make a difference to them. They are there to do their job.

Yes, I just noticed this too when I took a survey yesterday. I love accumulating Amazon money to use for Xmas and birthday gifts. The kids always have the latest electronic gadget on their lists and sites that pay you in Amazon money really help out with the holiday budget. I've been very pleased with my membership at Opinion Outpost. They usually send me a few surveys a week and the money adds up quickly.

I'm the same, it really does add up quickly and I especially like the fact that the minimum payout is so low, a mere $5. When I first started it seemed as if I would never reach the payout. But then I kept getting several surveys per week and it pretty much came easy.

I like having the options also. I have several sites that I can get that option, although I probably will stick with the check for now. It is nice to have a choice though.

I think a lot more survey sites would have a better membership especially if they offered their members more choices than what they have been. Just like if mylot can change and offer it's members more money by offering tasks that other members can create. It only creates a better community, and a more active one at that.

I never get a gift card as a reward. I order items from amazon site most of the time but never consider to use a gift card. I also a member of O.outpost and still earning some bucks but not that much. I receive 3 checks already in this site and didn't get any problem waiting my check withing 10 days of ordering it. If you want a proof just visit my blog site in my profile, you'll see im not lying.

jeiay41 I only am getting giftcards as a way to pay for Christmas gifts, etc, amongst other things, that I've been wanting for quite sometime. I find that if I have cash assessible to me that it can easily get spent on things that I might not necessarily want or need, of that some sort of emergency always seems to come up, some way, some how.

I too am a member of Opinion Outpost and I have taken advantage of their amazon gift card offer. With most sites I prefer money being put into my paypal account but I don't mind getting some amazon gift cards here and there. I consider that much like cash because you can purchase almost anything on Amazon and well it's always fun getting something in the mail. It's great when sites offer options other than just getting cash, ya know?

Yeah, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Just like mylot offers tasks and changed to help out it's members as well as improving the community. I believe the more options that you offer your members that you can simply improve your overall rating with your members, thus keeping them happy and giving them more of an incentive to stay active.

Yes, I like having options, but for a while it sounded like they were going to remove the check option. That made me nervous as I like to save my earnings. They were talking about replacing the check option with a debit card instead. I think they have decided against that idea. I think it's best to give members the option to receive a check or Amazon gift certificates.
