I got stung by a bee once and it was not a good. When I was seven I was out at recess and I was waving my hands around and a been happen to fly by. It thought I was a threat to it and it landing on my hand and stung me on my hand. My hand swelled up really big and I had to go to the doctor. I found out that I was allergic. I stay far way from bees. I leave right aways if I see any next to me. I am not taking a chance of having another allergic reaction.

I have been stung many times by wasps and bees and hornets.
Common methods are to stung on the sole of my foot when standing on them when walking bare foot and when they get inside clothing.
One went up my shorts as I walked my dog last month and it stung me at the top of my leg when my shorts pressed him.
Another time was driving in summer with the window open and a bee was blown down the back of my shirt and stung my back at 60mph!
Wasp stings are not barbed so they can sting you and then withdraw their sting and live. Sadly, bee stings are barbed and when you brush them off when stung the sting stays in your flesh and rips all the insides out of the bee and kills it.
I hate killing the bee and if I can stop the natural reaction to swatting it away when being stung I have been able to relax and let the bee slowly get it's sting out and fly away.

Yes, I got stung by a bee for the first time last year. It was my own fault though. There had been a bunch of bees around a water faucet outside. When I went to turn it on I had put one of my hands on the post that was next to it. However, I hadn't watched what I was doing when I did so. Apparently there had been a bee on top of this post and I had put my hand right on top of it. I felt something wiggly underneath, but by the time I had realized it was a bee it was too late and it stung me, right on my finger.
I knew I had to get the stinger out. So, that is exactly what I did. I told my husband what had happened and that I got the stinger out. It was a little irritated, but nothing too bad. Boy was my husband jealous! LOL He thought I wasn't allergic at all.
However, it was a different story the next day. When I woke up my finger was slightly swollen and HARD! It itched like crazy too. My husband was guessing that I had squeezed some of the venom into my finger when I had pulled the stinger out. Had I known there was a technique to it I would have never done it myself, but have my husband help me get it out instead. Oh well, at least I know better now.
Happy mylotting!

I have never met the thing like that but my cousin did. I'v remebered clearly that my cousin went to capture the bee with me when we are only chilren and she got stung badly.at that time ,my cousin cried so loudly because of the pain which made me very feared.Lucily, she was treated in time and was fine at last.

no I'm kind of afraid of getting stung because I have a lot of allergies and I don't know if i'm allergic. you don't know until you get stung and find out.

I've gotten stung once by a bee. I was a kid and was riding in my mom's car into town so we could buy some things. Well, as we got into town, I had an itch and had to scratch it. Well, before I know it, I caught a bee between my fingers and was stung by it. My mom panicked because she knows my father is allergic and was afraid I was. Well, turns out I wasn't thankfully but she was still worried regardless.

I've been stung many times during my life but, fortunately, I'm not allergic so I've never had a serious reaction. We have a neighbor who lives on the other side of my daughter's house, who keeps bees. The other day he had a pretty smoky fire burning and we were wondering what the heck he was burning. Later on he told my husband that he created that smoke to keep his bees calm while he mowed the lawn near their hives. It didn't work too well...he was stung 7 times.

When I was young I got stung by a bee behind my ear. I swell up so big I looked like I had the mumps on my left side. I had to go to the doctor and he gave me something to take and told my mom I was allergic to bee stungs. He did say that most kids grow out of this type of allergy. I also got stung a few times in the hand by bees and it always swell up. I have been stung a few times as an adult and so fall they have not swell up but they do hurt.

Yes. A couple of times I was stung by a bee. Since they are small ones, the impact was less. Second time 3 or 4 small bees stung on my face, it became swollen for the entire day. The I applied onion juice, and removed the thorn, it became alright.

As a kid I used to think I attracted bees. I jumped from step to step once at a relatives house. A swarm came out. I don't remember getting stung that time though. My mom rescued me. I would get stung walking through fields. I was hanging up laundry on the clothes line once and I was stung up my nose. That one hurt the most, I think. Luckily I am not allergic to them.

Thankfully I have only been stung by a bee once so far in my life. My late husband, two children and I were at a hotel swimming pool in new Jersey. I went to put my shoes on and there was a bee in my shoe. I got stung big time! Needless to say, the bee did not live!

I was about 10 or so and was stung by a wasp. I was eating a slice of watermelon. I had on a little halter top with my belly out and juice dripping everywhere. That silly wasp landed on my belly and I hit him and of course he stung me. I screamed and cried like there was no tomorrow. I did not have an allergic reaction or anything, so I did not have to go to a doctor or anything. But I don't think I ever wore that halter top again . In fact I never liked bikini swim wear. I think that wasp ruined me psychologically.
