Well today it's cold & rainy, my son called & they can't come because they are all sick w/upset stomachs so there goes my joy joy for the day, i so look forward to them coming on sunday, not much i need to do in the house because i was real smart the last few days & got my house in pretty good oder, yesterday i cooked so have enough left over to est so don't know what the devil to do w/myself. Anyone want to come over & play cards & keep me company w/my bored self?

My dad always said a modified version of that phrase. He all time says it is colder than a well digger's hiney. I don't know if his family didn't say 'butt', or if that is the way it was told where he grew up, but he says his mother said hiney, so he says hiney. And I always had the same question you did. How exactly do they know how cold a well digger's hiney is?

I would love to come and keep you company. I also am ill. I picked up a cold at college and it has gotten MUCH worse rather than better. I have to call my pulminologist tomorrow about the amount of coughing, blood in my hair balls (I figure that's a lot nicer thing to call that green stuff that comes up from your lungs) fatigue and shortness of breath. I sure wouldn't want to pass this on to you...it is sooo miserable! I can't bend over as it starts the coughing, I don't sleep much at night because of the coughing, and I have scared the petunias out of the cats when I sneeze!
I can appreciate that your children care about you enough to not want to get you sick too. I also know what it's like to have plans for company to arrive and then have the plans dashed to bits. You want to learn how to make bears? I could loan you one of my maniac cats...if nothing else they'll keep you entertained. I'd offer a dog, but right now Abby (the biggest) is passing enough gas to float the Goodyear blimp!!! And that darn dog is a hit and runner!!
Oh, I could have you help out with my homework. How are you with algebra? I also am taking an e-commerce class that is kind of fun that I have a mid term in tomorrow night.
Oh, here in California (Paso Robles) it is also colder than the south end of a north bound witch! We were over the 100 degree mark with the lows in the 70's last week, now we're in the 80's and the lows are in the 40's.

I couldn't get a grip on algebra in school...as much as I tried. I ended up hating math, and then I started taking math again to full fill my requirements for college and discovered that I enjoy it.
Scratch the algebra, I guess we will have to do bears... You're right about the cats. Khuay was in my lap and was just leaving and the "air" he left behind was lethal!!! I don't think you need the wafting aroma killing you off!
I just called my specialist at Stanford and they are going to do a consult and put me on antibiotics. (THANK GOD!!!!!) I am just waiting to hear if they want me to go ahead with the ct scan on Wednesday; the way it sounds now it looks like I get to make the 450 mile round trip...

Oh, you wanna know how to tell how cold a well digger's butt is? Look for the "cubes" in his pants...the ice cubes that is.

I do love the cooler weather but it was so dreary yesterday after having some beautiful days that i wasn't happy w/it. Think it all boiled down to not seeing my kids. I do look forward to that every sunday.Algebra!! I WILL TELL U RIGHT NOW I WOULD BE OF NO HELP AT ALL. i HATED ALGEBRA IN SCHOOL. u HAVE MY SYMPATHY FOR DEALING W/IT. hAVE A GREAT DAY & THANKS AGAIN.

I wish that I could. I am at work trying to get everything in order before the owner's meeting on Wednesday. I just love the expressions that you come out with. I don't know many card games but I used to play gin rummy with my Dad. why not stay on line and earn some money and companionship? How is AnnieFannie?
I am sorry that you didn't get to see your family yesterday. I know how you look forward to seeing them all. ah well.
coffee is finished so now back to work.

Anyone ever play Hand and Foot, it takes forever, but it is fun and we like to play that when we get together as a family. Lots of laughs. My inlaws family actually plays hand, foot and hiney. Takes even longer and probably more decks of cards. Hand and foot takes six decks.

I was just tying away & lost my response to u.i hate it when i do whatever i do to make that happen. I was saying we wouldn't have to play cards we'd have too much to talk about. I wish u were close enough to run in & out at my house. I'd love that. what expression were u talking about?? i'm liable to say anything.
I had an e-mail fron anniefannie & she sounded as bored as i have been today. I don't usually get bored but as i said today has been a bummer. Think it was mostly due to the fact the kids didn't get to come. U go home & enjoy the rest of the day.

Sorry about your bummer day. What a drag. Maybe you can go for a wonderful walk and enjoy these beautiful colours, read a book, watch a movie, or play on your computer. Give yourself a pat on the back, look around and see what a great job you did to your house.

Yassou Aunty, didn't you have them yesterday? I hope so. I would have been over to keep you company but the traffic is murder out there today with the elections so I'm staying put. But I have put a discusson on just for your amusement to cheer you up, hope that will bring a smile to your face. Hugs.

HI SUNNY, a bummer day is just an expression of mine, guess that's Tennessee talk, lol. When i say things are a bummer it's just that they didn't go as i wished for them to. I hope that explaind it better. If not it's a bummer, lol. Thanks for your response.

It is not very cold in Houston, Texas at all. I cannot wait for the colder weather to come. I'm sure your family did you a favor it sounds like by not coming over since they were sick. I am just now getting over a bug myself, so I can certainly relate to them.

The food all sounds so good so I think I'll come over and keep you company, lol! We didn't have potluck after church last night so this will make up for it. I'm sorry to hear that your son and his family have been sick. Maybe they will be feeling better by next Sunday and youall can get together then. At least I hope so. Kathy.

Bummer day, yeah, I had some from time to time. When something don't turn out right, do something else. Reading is a good substitute most times. Also do some room spring cleaning. Another thing, used that time to call friends.
