Are people getting ruder?

Do you people in general are getting less considerate? For example, I was at a kids' dance recital the other day, and people were walking in and out left and right in the middle of performances. Each dance was only about 1 minute to a minute and a half, isn't it common sense to get up in between performances? And people are texting in church and in movies and stuff. Do you notice things like this?

Yes, I do think that people are getting ruder. I've noticed that people can't seem to keep their thoughts to themselves... *Starts telling a story* I was in a very crowded bus, and when someone got on and shoved to get their way inside I was pushed on a lady. She was VERY displeased. So now I have an angry woman screaming at me and asking if I have any brains. Apparently she doesn't like the fact that I didn't apologize to her immediately. She says "Oh God, I can't take this anymore. I'm getting off," or something like that, and gets off the bus. On her way out, she tells the bus driver (very loudly) how I fell on her and didn't even say sorry. I can swear that I would NEVER do that if I was in that situation... I would just ignore it

Yes people in general are so much more rude then when I was growing up. My daughter who works at a call center for JCP finds people that call are so rude to her. Meanwhile she is being so nice on the phone but they talk to her like she doesn't know what she is talking about. If something happens to their order they blame it on the person on the phone. Meanwhile they have nothing to do with the order not being on time. The best is when they think its my daughters fault that the item they want is no longer available. Then they curse her. I would like to say its the stress of the world but when you are raised to be nice and cordial to all you shouldn't be taking your stress out on others. Its just not being mature at all.

No one has taught them how to behave so they just do what they want. It is sad. They probable don't even know they are being rude. I believe everyone is more self absorbed than before. With cell phones and I pods , who reaaly needs to talk to the people you see on the street? It is sad.
