Yes, I agree with your statement. You can be what you want to be by first love what career what you want to pursue not by just going stable but think that this can make you happy. Love must come first before doing and planning anything in your future.

Interesting discussion and as usual quite insightful,I must admit that I never looked at it in this fashion and will now start looking at life like you do .I think if many more persons adopted this approach the materialistic "get all you want at all cost " even if you trample others kind of mentality would disappear and people would care for others more.Keep on writing these kind of discussions we really need them

This is a very insightful post. At first I dismissed it. I thought, children learn to love by being loved. But then, I thought again. That is not always true. We really have to go that extra step. Sometimes if all we do is love our children, we can raise some pretty selfish, self-centered brats who really don't know how to extend love beyond themselves. A classic example is my grandson who has Asperger's syndrome. His case is the extreme and because of his Asperger's he requires special work to teach him social skills. But all children, benefit when they are encouraged to express feelings of love and kindness to teachers and others who help them and show kindness to them.

Oh I agree with you, I believe we all must have some love within us just as much as we need the air we breath, even the love of a pet can do it, we just need that feeling or we will become baron in life...Maybe that is what is missing in the people who are killing and murdering for no reason these days...Yes we must teach love...

Love and friendship are the two things that make life worthwhile. A loveless life leads to a stunted character and hate crimes. Just read the psychology of serious criminals and you will see this. We need love and friendship to enjoy almost everything, anyway. Its essential.

i never thought of that before. when i was young when i was asked i will say career. but if i can bring back time , i will say love too. cause i have learned love is the most important thing in life. people need love. it is hard to get by each day if no one loves us. we can get by with little money as long as it can sustain us, but without love it is such a miserable existence, lonely and without direction. it is not worth living if we are out of love.

If ///////GOD has created heart he has also created LOVE and feelings. Everything we do in life we must do it with love. Love leads us to the path of success. We Only if we love something then we may appreciate it. Without love this life is nothing.

Hello Kerriannc, That is so true, Love can work in many ways not just two people loving each other or in the family or friends, but also i nhow you love your work and career. but of course, comparing and weightening love between career and family, it is the family which is the priority because too much work with out attention and love for the children is seemed worth less

Have you heard the song 'the power of love' by celi dion, so we konw that it is true and respected, whatever you are, whatever you doing, whereever you are, however you feel, it doesn't matter, if only we own love, it is best. life could be cruel, life could be loving, so it depends what you choose and what you do in the real world, with others.

I don't know that happen if there's a life but without love. No man is an island is the good motto to me. Because love is full life and hapiness.

Life without love is eating a bowl of soup without salt. What would be the world without love. We already have some areas in our lives that are attractive enough. Without love, not only would there be war in the world but it will exist in our workplaces, school and homes. My life will have no color and i don't even mind the times i cry over a fight with my hubby. It brings out the best in you and me. The song goes, i rather a bad times with you then good time with someone else. Being with the one we loves and being in love and able to be in that environment. Its the best place to be.:)

...Hi kerriannc, I think you pointed out a very valid point, in fact let's go all the way back. If we are to believe the Bible...."for God so loved the world...." We are a product of love and so we go on, hoping that the love in us will blossom, and endear us to others as we move through life. Children should be taught to love and care for others. I don't have children, but I remember my nephew, when he was about 6 years old, was hitting his cousin, who was a girl. I took him aside and smacked his hand, telling him he should never, ever hit a girl. Some twenty years later, my sister told me he came into the house that day and told her, that I cared about him, because I told him what was right. I also found out that he told his male friends, when he got older, that his Aunt had told him never to hit a girl, and he had kept that lesson all those years. I was very touched. life would be much better if you talk about the LOVE which a girl and a boy have between them BEFORE MARRIAGE :D

i think life without love is useless and miserable.how can one person live life without it. love gives us hope and encouragement in what we think and do. love affects us in many ways.
