The longest relationship I had lasted for about 5 years. We were together ever since college and even after graduation. After long years of being together we still ended up apart. Lots of things cannot in the relationship cannot be settled anymore. We just decided to let go of each other. At first we tried to become friends but it's really hard to do that. Now we never communicate and doesn't have any idea on the life of each other. I must admit I still haven't forget about the person. And I don't think I will ever do. I believe that there is no such thing as forgetting only moving on.

wow.. that was long and i'm sorry that it had to end. maybe you just had to separate so you could grow. if a relationship is becoming unhealthy and you two are not growing anymore, cut it off before it destroys both of you. i'm sorry to hear that you aren't even friends right now. sometimes, there are people who are meant to be lovers but never meant to be friends. it's not necessary though that you forget, just move on and learn from it. ^^

hi ladyella! well, the longest that i have is with my husband...huh! we are bf/gf for 5 years before we decided to get married...and now we are on our 5th year of marriage...so all in all we are already 10 years together & still going strong... our secret? well, i think its true love, understanding, commitment yes, and that we know how to accept things, forgive & forget if necessary... and of course, we put God in the center of our relationship and we always pray to Him asking for His guidance...

My longest relationship lasted almost 6 years. My ex-boyfriend and I had a long distanse relationship at first, because we lived in different parts of the country. When we had been together for a year and a half I moved to his town, and we moved in together. In the beginning our relationship was great, but it didn't last. When we had been together for about 5 years we started arguing a lot, and my ex broke up with me. I was devastated at first, but I don't feel that way any longer. Actually I am happy that we broke up, because I am married to someone else now, I love my husband very much, and we are really happy together. I feel more today than I did in the past

My longest relationship was almost 4 yrs. But unfortunately it did last long. Now, I am starting with my new relationship. We're still having to get to know each other. Hoping to last long our relationship into marriage. Love, passion, intimacy, commitment, trust and respect are the things to keep the relationship burning and going, they are the fuel of relationship that makes the engine running.
