Planning a p[olly pocket birthday party and wondering what foods would compliment this party. It is themed a fashion party since polly is about fashion. also what games/activities will be good with this theme?

i suggest you have those truffles, lemon squares, cookies (decorating them with many colors), brownies and fruits like pineapple would be nice for desserts. Remember the party is for a nine year old and not 18. I think the theme has to be focus on what kids are. Fashion is kinda a serious since its usually for adults. you definitely will have alot of appetizers that kids would love. how about a trip to paris game. two teams and then each will play put on the whole outfit and go around the chair and undress (the outfit will just be worn over there clothes of course) and give it to the next in line in her team. how about the makeup blind fold game. that will be fun. the one doing the makeup will be blind fold and the other who will the one wearing the makeup will seat on a chair. you place a complete set of makeup on the table beside each team (just those cheap brands) you time them finish or unfinish to complete the whole look.

I can't really think of any special foods that I would offer at this kind of themed party aside from the normal ice cream and cake that is had at birthday parties. Well, that is unless you want to make some either dress shaped sugar cookies or doll shaped ones and let the party guests decorate them by themselves.
Another idea of something that would be fun to do for the party would be to print a paper doll template and let the girls design an outfit with art supplies. Crayons, markers, colored pencils and even old colored pieces of magazines as well.

Cupcakes instead of cake, lady fingers, divinity candy, chips and dip, pretty much anything that is "finger food". That way they won't be trying to carry a plate full of food around - which is usually a disaster even at that age. As to games - you got me there - I haven't a clue.

Whatever that tastes like chocolate would make a 9 years old kid happy. And off course kids pay a lot of attention to colorful decorations, more than to the food.
