Will you respond to the dicussion if the discussion has the BR marked already?

Well, perhaps there are people who may lost the interest to reply once they see that a best response has been awarded. But mostly, mylot members does not mind considering that they are more interested on the topic and the quality of response. Best to you and keep those discussions coming.

Yes. I was little confused as some of the members used to mark the best response within the few hours of the discussion.We have to think as are they don't like further more responses for their discussions.I may be wrong and I feel they will not do like that to stop the responses.But on seeing such discussions, we have to have doubt as like that.Now It is cleared from all of your responses.Thanks for your participation in this discussion.

I also agree with you. I really don't understand why some people on mylot are taking best responses as a big deal. Okay to be honest, I have never done this, but some members on mylot just give a best response on there discussion because they want that discussion to be over and done with and they don't want any more replies. I personally do think that is wrong. If you are planning to start a discussion, then you should be prepared to get responses always, not just whenever you want to. If I see a discussion I like, who cares about the best response! I go right ahead and reply!

Here I did not mean the rating or getting the BR for our responses,please.As I had the doubt, I started this discussion.From your responses, it is clearly seen that there are no such guideline.Also I thought as that why should we spend our time in responding to a resolved discussion? The discussion starter may not read our response after choosing the best response.It seems I was wrong.Now onwards, I will respond to the discussion, without caring about the best response.Thanks for letting me to know the fact and for spending your valuable time to this discussion.

I have to agree with what you are saying there. It's not all about not responding to the discussion just because it has a best response. Sure, the person that started the discussion chose a certain post as a best response as that is most likely the sort of answer they were looking for or the sort of answer that helped them out. I'm sure that even though the owner picked a best response, the owner itself wouldn't mind more response, and see what other people's opinion on this is. The more information gathered, the more knowledge, and the more merrier!

Dear jambi..Just I wanted to know that if there any such guideline like that.From all of your responses it seems that there is no such terms or guideline. As I used to thought that the issue has been already resolved, then why should we unnecessarily spend the time in responding to the resolved discussion, I used to skip the discussion.Now I came to know that we can do respond to those discussions also to give them a better possible to solution to the issues.Also I did not consider here about the earnings and the earnings are apart from the discussion matter.Hereafter I will start responding to such discussion also.Thanks for your response.

@Pweety: Of course ,you are correct.As the users used to select the best response among the available responses even through that response is not the exact solution.If we fail to respond further as like me, he may not be able to know the alternative solutions.I have failed to respond to so many discussions even though I know some alternative solutions only because of the fact the discussion is resolved.Thanks for letting me to know this.Hereafter I will proceed to respond to the discussions if I know well about,irrespective of the best response.Thanks for your kind participation.

Thanks for the making me to understand the fact in this issue.I failed to know the fact that we can share our views and opinions even after the discussion is marked with the best response. Now I understood.But this problem will happen only if the member marked the best response soon after the discussion is started. If they wait for about a month, there will not be any doubt as I had in this.But I don't think that we will be rewarded extra for the best responses.But I am not sure about that also. You have a point there! Well, as stated on the FAQ, don't give it right away after posting a discussion, wait at least a week to give chance to others and to get more quality responses. Once that there is a best response selected on a discussion, it cannot be changed so pick the one that you really like. Some users prefer to respond only on those that are unresolved or those without best response selected because there is a chance that they can get it. About the additional earnings for the best response, that was true. You will notice that thing too, when your earnings increase even it is not yet the time to update it, try to look at your profile, maybe you got a best response.

Now I am away from my doubts and I will start to respond to the resolved discussions also.Regarding your queries, there will not be any monetary benefit for the Best responses.The rating systems is used to rate our content.If you feels that someones contribution is better for the discussion you can rate their response or discussions as positive.If you feel their response or discussion is against the terms of mylot or guideline, you can rate them with negative mark.But we should not mark neagtive only because the members view is against our view.Every one is having their own opinion in everything. But here, most of the members are misusing the rating system.Also the our earnings purely depends on our rating. In general the discussions are started to get some issues resolved. On seeing the resolved discussions, I used to thought that why should we respond again and again to the discussion which is already resolved?With this view, I missed the lot of discussions of my interests.Also I will not look after the user name at all to avoid the bias in the response.We may not be able to post our opinion if it is against the discussion and the discussion starter is our friend.But now from all of the responses, I came to understand that the BR is not an issue.Now I am ready to respond to the discussions even if it is marked with best response, if I know something related to the discussion issue.Thanks for your participation in this discussion.

You don't reply to a discussion with a yes or no. It's against the rules. As far as BR's I am hopeful that I will receive such because it is a plus to our earnings.

Of course I don't respond to a discussion to receive any best response. But I thought if the discussion is resolved with the someones response, then why should we respond further? Soon after the registration of my registration with mylot, I used to respond to all of the discussions without knowing about the best response.After knowing about the BR, I got this doubt also.Without asking anyone, even to my referrer who is the good guide,I searched the guidelines.But after all of your responses, now I understood that we need not consider about the Best Response.If we know something, then we can start responding to the discussions.Thanks for your participation in this discussion.

Yes.As some of the members are marking the best response within a short period of time, we have to loose our interest to respond to that discussion even if we know something about that.Few members are marking the BR without leaving any comments .If we see such discussions we have to come to a conclusion as that the member will not read our response.So we have avoid the discussion.But now I am able to understand that the BR is not an issue if we want to contribute to the discussion. Even if the member who started the discussion is not reading, the others may read and know something.Thanks for your response to this discussion.

At the beginning, I used to respond to all of the discussions, if I know something about that without knowing about the best response. Later, from some discussions, I happened to read about the BR and I made a search about that to know.As I was not able to find anything related to my doubts, I stopped responding to the resolved discussions.Now I have got my doubts cleared.Hereafter I will respond to all of the discussions even if it is marked with best response.Thanks for your participation in this discussion.

Even of the topic is already resolved you can still affirm the comments and posts and further explain your ideas. You can also disagree if you can still present a much better one. I am also not responding to the discussions with the expectation of best response.But I red in some discussions,if we mark best response to the our discussions, we will be rewarded.But I don't know how far is it true and some of the members have tested this by just marking the best responses to their discussions on a particular day, without participating in any other activities.They have earned few cents on that day.Anyway, I am not away from my doubts.I will respond to all of the discussions if I know something and will not consider about the best response.Thanks for your participation.

As I was not sure about the discussion guideline in this regard,I searched well amny times the "guidelines page". Finally I started this discussion as the members are well known about the terms.Now I have got my doubts clarified.If I had started this discussion earlier, I could not have missed so many interesting discussions earlier.IF the members have the habit of marking the best response after few days, then there will not be such issues or doubts.
