Life is...

Life is like a big gamble, full of risks. It is only those who don't dare to risk eventually emerge winners. It's not the winning that always matters. It is the courage one takes. For those who are afraid to risk have been doomed from the very start. Their biggest mistake is that they never tried at all.
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool...
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental...
To reach out for another is to risk involvement...
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self...
To live is to risk dying...
To hope is to risk despair...
To try is to risk failure...
But...
the risk must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing
does nothing,
is nothing.
These persons may avoid sufferings and sorrows, but they simply cannot learn...
feel...
change...
grow...
love....
Chaired by their certitude, they become a slave --
one who has forfeited freedom.
Only a person who risks...
is free!

Life is what we make it. We are always responsible with our actions and its
results even if it is good or bad. life is like a box of chocolate since it's full
of surprises. Life is a very especial gift the we should treasure since it is more
precious than any other things in this world. Life is giving and receiving loving
and caring.

I agree with you Earlzhan. Life is good if we choose to take the road that makes it good. I have a favorite saying about life: "Life is God's gift to you. What you make of it is your gift to God". I don't know who originally said it but I saw it somewhere many years ago and it has stuck with me all this time.

hi ursina you have an interesting discussion and a good
head on your shoulders. If we dont take risks we dont get
get hurt, but we also dont get anything else. We would
'be back in the dark ages if some people had not cared and
'dared enough to take risks. We would be using candles instead
of electricity and riding mules instead of driving cars were
it not for men like Ford, and Edison. You are right, only a
person who risks is free. I married a man who I had only known for six weeks, my dad called me a fool, but know what, our marriage lasted 43 years and we were really happy ,we belonged
together. You have to take chances always in life.

I like to see life more as a game where you also take a risk but don't revive at template when you die :)
