I was out 3 days last week with something completely different. But I have a 102.7 fever. Can I just take tylenol, lozenges, and stay away from the other students? I really, really can't miss school. Should I just go for my first few periods and go to the nurse?
Would it be fair to the other students?
To the staff?
To me?

I think the best thing to you to do are always stay up in your bed room until you feel healthy. It also important to contact your doctors/nurse first. And I think it would be fair to the other students and staff of school. And I reaaly believe that they will be understant to you.

I don't think you should go until your fever is gone, usually with something contagious, when you have a fever, that is when it is most contagious. I would go to the Dr. and get an excuse and see if you can get missed assignments taken care of and see if there's a friend you have in school that can get you the notes you've missed.
All showing up will do is spread whatever it is you have, if it's contagious.
Hope you get to feeling better.

rose2798 with a temp of almost 103 I would get myself to'
the doctor and find out why you are so ill, think health
first and school second as if you are diagnosed and start'treatment as soon as possible you probably won't have
to miss much school, but if you just self treat you may become
really sick and miss a lot more school. See your doctor first and see what he or she has to say. then go from there.

Don't go to school; at all. As I always say, only go when you're feeling well. Seriously, though, 102.7 fever is enough for a doctor to give you prescribed medicines. I guess you could take tylenol, and if the fever goes down, you'll probably be able to go back to school, but even so, fevers are indicators of many problems(appendicitis, bacterial/viral infection, iron-deficiency, anemia, etc), so you should get a check-up to make sure it's just a regular fever.
