Friendster, MySpace or Facebook?

I've been a member of those 3 popular websites and I would like to know which social networking site you are fond of. I started using Friendster back in late 2003 and MySpace in 2004 and then last year on Facebook. I've been really active with Friendster for a long time until I discovered the games being offered by Facebook. So basically, I am spending more time now on Facebook other than the two I have mentione. But I still check Friendster and MySpace every now and then but not as often as I do before. Which among the 3 famous sociat network sites do you use and why?

I have heard of friendster, but I have yet to join.. maybe one day. I have had Myspace for quite a few years. and used to be quite active. I have facebook and have had my ups and downs- I like the old pages they used to have and was very annoyed with them when they changed it, and stopped using them for quite few months- but then I was quite active with Yuwie. (which I have since grown out of love with)lol But I have gone back to Facebook and noticed so have MANY MANY of my friends and long lost acquaintances and I too got sucked up in the games. I joined Mafia wars and then Vampire wars.. and they just keep coming.. lol I of course then HAD to add tons of people to my friends list so I could have a large Mafia. I now have over 1000 "Friends" , actually I found that there are many I have a lot in common with and enjoy meeting these new people. I very rarely go on to myspace any more.. I think there is too much on many of the pages- and they take forever to load.. I check it maybe once or twice a month.. So, in conclusion, I guess - Facebook is the one I prefer. I am on it nearly everyday and usually all night long while I am at work. :)

I made a lot of friends on Yuwie. they are very nice people for the most part. also made a lot of connections to things that help me earn online through Yuwie. Like BigCrumbs and 6dgr.. while 6dgr made me a bunch of cash- it no longer seems very viable.. but I Still Love BigCrumbs and it's potential. If you are interested in checking it out There is a link to Yuwie (and BigCrumbs) on my page here.

Yes it does.. BC is a site that save you money while shopping.. But you don't have to shop to make money. If you have a lot of referrals and they like to shop.. you will earn money. there are some people on the site that are earning about $250 a month. and with christmas coming up I am sure that total will rise. Myself I only have a few referrals but I have been getting paid every month for the last 6 months because of their purchases.. The referrals also go I think 6 levels deep so you still earn if your referrals referrals are spending.. It is a great place and Free to join. and they pay through paypal.

Seems like a lot of myLotters here enjoy Mafia. I have only joined it when I lost all of my poker chips before just to get some bonus chips but not really played it. Is it like a strateggy game of some sort? In our country, Friendster is the one that got much attention but now, it is Facebook. I see a lot of my friends switching from Friendster to Facebook. But others still prefer Friendster because they don't like it's interface too. I have an invitation from Yuwie before but I declined it since I already have a lot of account that needs to be maintained. But, would like to try it too and see how much friends I can gain from joining it.

I cannot give you any advice on how you can play that game. If you are still online gaming, I would suggest that you try Dungeons and Treasures. It's an online game too. I tried it yesterday. It was confusing the first time but eventually, you'll get familiar with the interface. The catch is, for every golds you will earn, you can convert it to real cash at the end of each month. The more golds you earn, the more $ you'll earn. Paypal is their mode of payment. Here's the link if you want to give it a try: http://dungeons-treasures.com/inscription.php?c=1&p=1497%5c Leave the Godfather as it is. Enjoy playing and earning! :)

Same here. Most of my friends now uses Facebook at lot compare to Friendster. I think that basically the interface of Facebook is far better and you only get updates from your friends. You can also select from your friends from whom you would like to receive updates from. This is a thumbs up for Facebook. I love that feature. 2 years being idle from Friendster? Well, I guess you're account by now is already inactive and you need to update it if you would like to keep your friends there. Well, unless they are already added on your Facebook account. And I guess one thing I am thankful about this social networking sites is that they are all free. :)

I preferred facebook because it has more fun and lots of things to do like we can post messages through wall posting. We can play different games and my favorite is Trivia challenge. Facebook so far is the best social networking site I know, better than friendster, myspace and multiply.

I agree with you 100%. I find Facebook more fun because of the applications they offer. Apart from FarmTown, I also play Poker, Pet Society, Text Twist and Typing Maniac. I have yet to try the Trivia Challenge. Oh! I forgot to mention Multiply. :)

hi nursemathilda well, one thing about my friendster account is that all of my friends there are people that i really know...people that i know even off line! in facebook, most of the people in my friend's list are people that i just know because of the games...hehe specially when i started playing yo ville & mafia wars...coz you know, in those games we need more people... but anyway its just good that some turns to be a good friend on line... yes, facebook is really great when it comes to faster communication, coz they have this chat feature and you can easily get an update from your friends through their walls...

I definitely agree to that. Friendster has definitely pave way to keep in touch to our old friends and families. It was the first social network web site that I have joined and was able to meet old and new friends through it. Right now though, I am using Facebook since it offers many great features like games, enabling us to upload and watch streaming videos and also I feel like I have more control over it it. I also like the interface of Facebook compare to others. The faster communication it offers is what I also like best about it.

To be able to enjoy social networking sites, one must have a lot of free time to do so or those who are trying to kill their time. Some uses these sites to kill boredom, upload and share videos and play games. If you are quite a busy person, then I think that constantly updating and playing online games is not for whick these social networking sites offer. But yet, Friendster is good for updating your friends every now and then.

Hi Mathilda. I'm a member of myspace and facebook. I don't remember how long ago I signed up to myspace, it might be about 4 or 5 years ago. As for facebook, I didn't join that until about a year and a half ago. Before mylot came along I was into myspace. But since joining here I'm not into either. I'd much rather spend my time mylotting! It's so much better. Mylot rocks! Happy mylotting!

I certainly agree with you on that sacmom.I now spend most of my free time here at myLot other than those 3 I have mentioned. This is more interacting and I am able to air my thoughts frreely. Maybe it's because none of my friends are here. Happy myLotting too!

I like facebook better because it has a lot of features with it. But the most important reason why i'm active there than friendster and myspace is because most of my friends are active there as well :) It's good when you have social networks especially when you've lived in so many places and meet a lot of people. These social networks help a lot in social communication :)

I believe that too. These social networking sites have helped me in a couple of things. Keep in touch with my friends, old friends and even relatives whom I never had an idea existed! This is really a good place to start new relationship and bond with those people whom we are close to before and renew friendships. :)

I stop using friendster I'm dedicating my time more here than any other social networking site. I'm not active anymore there because I find it boring compare here I can enjoy at the same time I can earn.

I still use my friendster though I never accessed it now the way I used to. Before I have set it as my homepage here on my laptop and then changed it to Facebook and then now, I have myLot in place of all others. I like it here far better than the others I suppose because of the free thoughts and a lot of things I can discuss with a lot of differet people. I feel like I can share a lot of things with people I hardly know and yet I trust them enough to be able to open those things to them.

50 a day, so that means you have been to myLot for only 2 months? That's quite a goal in a day. I am only able to reach 31, the highest so far. I hope I can make 50 comments in a day.

I think that as long as these social networking websites serves it purpose - to keep in touch with our friends and family, there's nothing wrong which account you have. Like you, I am a big Facebook fan. I love their applications, the interface, the clear photos and the ability to ignore persons from being you updates. Well, of course, without them knowing it. :)

since i joined mylot and another paying site, i feel that it is a waste of time spending hours on the two sites i am a member of. i have both friendster and facebook. before my discovery of mylot, i was on friendster and when i found out that there are lots of games i could play at facebook, i shifted my attention. but, once more, i have shifted my attention to paying sites worth my time and effort... and i am happy and enjoying it here!

I think you are right there. If someone will just kill or waste time playing online games, I would definitely suggest that they join paying websites, like myLot. At least with this, you get to share a lot of your ideas, information and knowledge at the same time, you're earning even a little each day. Add to it the friends you can make. I have to agree that myLot has taken more of my time compare with other online activities that I used to do before. Happy myLotting! :)

I am with facebook. The applications in facebook is so vast. In fact, there are new ones that are now available in facebook.

Now I realized that I have not logged in to my Facebook account after I have joined myLot. Most of my time is spent here now. Well, I just enjoy my freewill to write and comments on just about any topics available here. I love it so far. :)

I started with friendster and myspace. I never liked myspace because my friends do not have an account there. Friendster is fine I got connected with my friends but it become boring. Then my friend recommended Facebook, I easily got connected with my friends and meet my long lost cousin. There are lots of applications and games that is so fun. I still have my friendster account but I recommend facebook because you can also chat with your friends online and it can easily updated and just so fun.

I have a Friendster too but I don't use it anymore. It has become too corny. Even my friends don't use it anymore too. Facebook is the best. I am a Facebook addict. I log in for several times a day. To add, it has tons of applications and games I really love. Examples are Restaurant City and Farmtown. Also, all my friends use Facebook. I get updates about them in Facebook. For me, Facebook already has it all.

Hi NurseMathilda, I can't remember whether I do have MySpace or not,but for sure I do have facebook and friendster. I used to be active in Friendster, but lately I never login to friendster again and I found that Facebook is more interesting than Friendster. At facebook, there are more applications like games, quizzes, chat room, etc. I am addicted to Facebook, I like to upload my pictures there, share them with my friends and sametime I can browse through my friends' pictures too. From facebook, I also get to keep in touch with all my old mates which we have been lost in contacts for more than 10 to 20 years. I am so happy to find back my old mates at Facebook. To me, Facebook is more for adult and friendster is more for teenager.
