Hi friends, I am going to buy a new PC next week. I am assembling it from a computer shop because branded PC are so costly and less configured. Please let me know that am I paying right or more than it deserve. I am giving 16500/-Rs. ( 330 $ approximate.) for this PC, Configuration is given below:- 1. Intel dual core 1.6 Ghz (atom) 2. Asus Mother board 945 3. 250 GB hard disk SATA 4. 19" LCD monitor LG 5. Logitech M/m Keyboard and optical scrolled mouse. 6. Atx cabinet 7. LG dvd writer 8. 2 GB Pen drive/ Earphone 9. 2.1 stereo speaker. 10. Full software Installation (based on availability) Is that ok to have a PC of these configure in 16500/-Rs IN INDORE INDIA.

For another three or four thousand ruppees more, you can buy a branded PC. You can always get the 2Gb pen drive or the earphone free,with the branded PC's. Usually during the festival season, the computer companies offer a lot of freebies, and so I would suggest you wait for another 3 to 4 days before making a final decession.

For that price for these specs, it is a great buy. One thing just find out about the guarantee and warantty.

the shop, from where I am going to buy PC is very close to my house, I talked the person about warranty and he replied with 1 year full replacement, and he also gave me faith for the quality, and if by any reason after 1 year any difficulty appears he will fix them all for no cost. And for major problem, he will fix it with lowest rate among market. I think its not bad for this time, because its Indian Celebration Time and many offers are in the market but we should not go with lowest offer, we must take care of service also. "NEHA"

thank you ramesh, But you know ramesh branded PC, are limited to their model no. and versions, I mean if I go to compaq It cost me 18650/- it is ok but some configure is too less like only 512 RAM, they have inbuilt webcam, but i do not need that. So what I want to say you can not modify them, you have to purchase as they are offering. While in assembling a PC what we need we can buy in hardware as well as in software. So I prefer to buying An assembled PC for me. And I got a new Quotation It is better than before one. they are offering 1. Intel p. dual core 2.5 Ghz 2. Intel G-31 C/s Mother Board 3. RAM 1 GB ddr2 4. 250 GB HDD(SATA) 5. DVD Writer 6. 17" LCD Monitor 7. M/m Keyboard 8. Optical Mouse and beside of these 10 surprise gifts @@@@@@ 14490/- Rs. Only.

Hi friend the money you are paying is fine but you can go for higher configuration The frequency is too low. 1.6Ghz is low I think. You can go for 2.8GHz. And you have not given your RAM size. Basing on your 250GB Harddisk, It would be better if you have atleast 2 GB RAM. If the RAM is less then you will have problems supporting that 250 GB harddisk. Remaining all configurations are fine

You are quite right, I mean I must have at least 2 GB for that. about 2.8 I think I don't need that because I have to work only for mylot and My website updations. I am using 1.6 now and its working good. Well at least one time i will see 2.8 thanks "NEHA"
