I work out alot. I do it almost every other day. I use the weight bench(incline, decline, flat). I use dumbells and use a total gym. I work out in the basement. It's a finished basement which I kinda turned into a home gym. After I workout, I have a protien shake and go for a half mile walk.

I have been active in sports for most of my life, so I have worked out ever since I can remember. I used to go to a gym or use the facilities at my high school and college when I played football. These days I practice Aikido and go to the dojo around 3 times a week. As for my non martial art exercise program I have learned to combine different aspects of training into my routine. For instance, now I start a training session with some stretching and yoga. Then, I go on to do some breathing exercises. After, I go for a light jog. Circuit training comes next, with free weights or resistance bands. Finally, I do some jump rope or agility drills. I don't go to the gym anymore. I don't need the atmosphere of a gym to motivate me anymore.

I don't really visit the gym for work out, instead I do mountain climbing or wall climbing. Sometimes I do brisk walking =) Though its not on a regular basis, I wish I could, due to my work demand.

How I wish I have the energy to even thin about doing work out. I used to go to the gym but was not regularly. It was hard but rewarding. I had to stop because I wanted to cut down my expenses. Now, I do not work out anymore, not even do some stretching. I do know that it is not a good idea. I myself is feeling the my muscles are getting to constrict that it really needs working out. Now that I can feel the muscle tension, I will try my best to make it a conscious effort to work out.

...Hi Swadey There was a time when I would join exercise clubs like Bally's and other clubs. I would go for a while, exercise for a while, with all good intentions, and then, I would lose interest and not attend. It was a waste of money, so I stopped joining. Now I exercise on a limited basis at home, because, your bones will be helped, as a woman, if you exercise, because you can build bone mass, which is critical as we age. Bones will break easier if they are not strong, and we lose bone
mass slowly over time, so exercising as I understand it, will slow down the loss of bone mass. So we try to move it, before we lose it. :o) Take care.

I am currently working out at home because I HATE gyms! It always seems like the people who work there are rude and get jealous and then cause problems. Plus, I hate it when everyone just stares and don't mind their own business. It's always really gross to have to watch fat middle-aged women who think they are sexy trying to "show off" too. Also, the stupid steriod idiots who think it's necessary to grunt whenever they lift a whopping 25 lbs! Plus, I have gotten Staph infection twice from dirty people who rub their fat, sweaty bodies all over the equipment. Gyms suck! They are a HUGE Waste of money too, cuz you can just buy your own equipment for the same price as a stupid membership.

I never go to gym. I always work out on my home. Every morning, i usually push-up 100 times and sit-up. I think we could work out not only from the gym but also from our house. Well, before work out i easy to get tired but now i never feel it again. I could do what i want to do without afraid become pass-out.

I never used to at all. But I have diabetes so I need to lose weight and to keep my blood sugar stable now, so I do.
I swim every day, Monday to Friday - I am a member of the local Y, which luckily is a5 minute walk away. I use small weights at home, andas Ihaven'tgot a car I walk everywhere!
A friend of mine teaches Zumba (kind of a cross between latin dance and aerobics!) so I am thinking of trying that, as it looks like fun.

I never get time to work out and with my health it is not that easy.I tend to try to keep busy as in chasing after 6 children.I also have cut down on alot of junk food as i found that doing exercise and then eating junk food is just a waste of time.Happy Mylotting.

I really don't like the idea of workouts because I'm already healthy, & I don' think anyone will suggest a gym for me. So my daily routine itself is sufficient for me to maintain a healthy life.

Interesting questions. I work out two times a week. I always go to gym for swimming. Swimming is one of my best sports. My classmates are so busy and they do not have too much time for workout. I have to find some sport that I can do myself. The workout is very good way to take a break, especially in this fast moving society. When I finish one project, the first thing in my brain is to rush to Gym, sweat and have a sauna. After that I am just like a man newly born with enough power.

I used to be a total gym junkie! Now that I moved, I don't have any gyms near me. So I started trying fitness DVD's at home. I felt kindof silly at first, but I've found that I really a physical outlet. Right now I've fallen in love with Kelly Coffey Meyers and her "30 minutes to fitness" series. I do her all weight workouts, and afterward I feel like I just left the gym. The hardest part is starting to exercise - it so easy to procrastinate! Good luck & happy exercising!

Hi Swadey,
I work out every other day if possible, if not maybe two times a week, I like it to be enjoyable, I use to work out two hours at a time, now it's one hour, its better and not a choir. I work out at home in the cellar, where I made a work out room. I work out with light dumbells, not heavy, it keeps you in tone, I also like to walk about a mile everyother day, good for the heart. You also need to do weight exersice to keep your muscles firm. Your body keeps burning fat even after you end your weight workout. You can keep in good shape by walking, light weight lifting, and the right foods.. keep away from trans.fat,-hydronated oils,-saturated fats, keep fat calories under thirty.. good luck, and make it fun..
