I know that it may sound stupid but I do not know what is the name of my network connection. I think there might be a way to look for it on my computer but so far I have not found it since I don’t know were to look. The reason that I need this information it because I became a member of Gomez peer and it asked me for this information and I put DSL and it did not work so now I have it in 56 what ever that might be. The option that it gives me is 14.4, 28.8, 33.6, 56, T1, T3, ISDN, DSL and Cable Modem. And in order to get point from them I have to have the right one on and I tried the 14.4 and the 56 and both of them work but I want to know if there is a way to find out what I really have. I feel so stupid asking this questions but I just have no idea what Network Connection I might have and after seen all those options I got more confused since I did not know that there were that many. Any help please so I can find the right one. Thank you

Do you have your computer hooked to a phone jack? Do you have to dial up an internet connection? If so, you would have the 14.4 to 56. Who do you pay for your connection? The cable company? The phone company? You can also go to www.dslreports.com and it should tell you more about your connection.

Hi PamelaL sorry for not responding earlier and thank you for tour response. I don't have my computer connected with a phone jack I pay for my internet to Cox cable but I do sometimes use my laptop in places were I get wifi. So I think that when I use the computer at home it would be Cable Modem but when I get wifi from another place what would it be.
