Hello Mylot friends,
I have a male boxer that is 3 and a male boxer that is 6 months. Mickey is 3 and Bubba is 6 months.
The problem is Mickey is fighting bubba. Mickey wants to fight any dog that walks.
I have tried to choke this dog, hit him, scream at him.
I need to know how to get him to stop fighting. I don't want to have to get rid of him but if he don't stop fighting i will have no choice.
So my question for you is do you have an answer for me and the fighting Boxer.
I have 2 females as well.
Any help will be considered.
Thanks for your help in an advance. Hope you have a great day.

what did u do to him to make him that way? dogs arent born to do that stuff. sick humans make them that way. my brother adopted a boxer from the pound, and his boxer acts very sweet.

Boxers are sweet dogs--and they didn't have to do anything to make one dog want to bully another. It happens! Dogs are not always in paradise with each other, they pick and choose their friends like people. I've worked with them over two years, I should know.
Dog owners can't be blamed for litle things like sibling rivalry.

hitting the dog isn't going to do any good but make him turn on you, that's a dangerous ground to be on with a large dog.
Mickey unfortunately is reverting back to the Pack mentality with that many dogs in the house. He is expressing dominance.
Have you had him fixed? That might be one option as well as just trying basic socialization, put something of the pup in where Mickey sleeps so he associates the puppy as a pack mate and not as a rival new comer.
Also, and as a last alternative, you can teach the puppy to be submissive, This would help if he thinks Micky is playing when really it isn't play for the older dog.
Or, you can muzzle the older dog.
We had a German Shepard that was the same way. we had to tether her to a cast iron stove for three days until she got acclimated to our new arrival, a four month old border collie. but even after - if it was on the other side of the fence she would go nuts.

Thanks for the info. I have thought of the muzzle. What's bad is Bubba is one of Mickey and Pixie's Pups.
I really don't know what i am going to do. But i have to do something because i don't like dogs fighting.
Yeah he likes to be the boss. As far as him turning on me Mickey has respect for a human but a dog no way.
But i do understand maybe what he is thinking to he went from being the only dog in the house to over a year to having 2 females in the house with him. The one has pups.

When you see him start to even stare at your puppy, sort of nudge him firmly from the side and say no. You might have to do this a lot of times in a row, at first. You want to stop him from fixating on the puppy, which comes before the attack.
It might help to have him on the leash too while you're inside, to help keep him from taking off after the puppy.
A dog trainer could probably help too, if they come in and see him in action for a bit. Not sure what that would cost, though...

Thanks for the info. I will have to try something because he gets my blood pressure up to much.
I will have to look into a trainer coming in. I never thought of that. But i will try what you suggested to see how that works.
Thanks again
