twilight vs harrypotter

I guess you can compare the two in terms of writing style.... if you like Stephanie Meyer's style better or J. K. Rowling's better.... but really in terms of the stories, I don't get comparing them. Twilight is vampires. HP is wizards and witches. Twilight takes place in the "real" world. HP is almost entirely in a fantasy world. Twilight is a romance with some adventure. HP is an adventure with some romance. If you're going to compare stories compare Twilight and the Vampire Diaries or Harry Potter and .... um I compare HP to the Dresden Files but there again one is a YA series, the other is more for adults. Although tens of millions of adults read Harry Potter and I can totally see that 15-16 year olds could get into the Dresden Files because they are such easy reads and pretty mild in the way of language and violence. But the point is if you are going to compare things compare like things. Don't compare apples to monkeys.

i have read the twilight saga, and saw the 2 movies that they have done, and i really like the story,, obviously, the movie showing us like a report of the book, because the books are so long, and shows the most important parts,,, i love the story of this books!! personaly, i dont like harry potter, is not my type of movies, an less, these books. my vote is TWILIGHT.

I didn't like the book or the movie. I am not a huge fan of either series, but my vote would be the Harry Potter Series.

Harry Potter by far. The characters in twilight are way too needy.

i love both series and i believe that they both have their strengths. i was crazy about harry potter and i still am and when i read twilight after seeing the movie, i really got hooked,. there's something about twilight that really pulls the readers as if you are living in the characters' world. the same is true with harry potter because the imagination is superb and the humor is engaging. these series are really one of the best that were ever written. ^^
