Oh mylotters I had to share my excitement with you all. For those of you that have read some my discussions know that I have a son who is in jail. Well yesterday he had come to my city for a court appearence on another case. Of course I was there and we got to exchange some smiles.
Then today he had to be transported back to his home jail. The guy that was transporting him called and said that he would be going by the road that I live on and wanted to know if I would like to meet him at the little store so that I could visit with my son for a moment.
It was so nice to get to give my son hugs and a kiss on the cheek. This may not mean much to some but let me tell you...I was in heaven just to give him a hug. It has made my day and has put a smile on my face that can't be removed today.
Thanks for letting me share my excitement with all my friends here on mylot..

Oh as a mom I can only imagine what it meant to you. I kind of remember your past discussions and I think I knew that you had a son that was in jail. I respond to so many discussions here that I forget and lose track....sorry. I'm sure it is very hard for you being apart from your son like that. What a kind and understanding man that was to call you and give you a quick moment with your son. I have visited people in jail and I know that the visits mean a lot to the prisoners but often times there is no physical contact. A hug can mean so much. {{{{HUGS}}}}

Hello sid
You are right. When someone is in jail to get a hug from someone is like us winning a lottery..I have never been in jail but to see him in there and realize what we take for granted is somthing very important to him. Like him getting mail is like someone coming in and giving us Ice cream, its a big treat. The transporter was a very special man and I will never forget him. He is differently on my Christmas Card list...

Hi kitty42, I was just gonna say the same thing. Did the person who arranged the meeting also get a hug? I believe he deserve some of the love too. As happy as you are rosepedal, I bet the guy who made this happen also felt happy too. And a thank you from the mother would be enough appreciation for what he did.

Hi kitty and bounce
I did..I gave him a big hug and lots of thanks. I even went a little step farther than that. I went into the store and got both of them a Mountain Dew. The transporter was a very nice guy and I think he understood and seen what time of person my son is. He had brought my son down to court yesterday and I think he got the chance to get to know him. I was very excited and I will always be thankful for the transporter...Thanks you all for the wonderful words and I wish you all a wonderful day..Keep smiling...smooches..

I sort of know how you feel. My friend has gone back home to Canada to visit with her folks so they can see their new grandson. Yesterday she rang me. I was surprised and thrilled and it made me feel very special. I know it's not the same as a son but, well, it moved me a great deal and made me smile for the longest time.
I'm really happy for you too.

Thank You MsTickle
It is excitement beyond words. I know there may be people that think because he is in jail that he doesn't need any attention. That is not true. I have never condoned what he has done and now I do see the change in him. Just by the way he talks about things. I believe him and know that he will do fine when he gets out..Thanks again for your kind words and have a great day...

I was very excited and very thankful for the transporter to go out of his way to make a son and his mom very happy. I don't think that I could ever pay him back. I know that I will never forget his name or what he looks like. Thanks for your comment and have a nice day...

Hi robert
I am happy and sad at the same time. I hate the fact that it may be a while before I get to see him and touch again. I will cherish his hugs and always remember his smile. Thanks for your kind words and keep smiling..

That is wonderful. I can certainly understand how that would be so special to you. It was very nice of the guy who was transporting him to do that. Some people take that kind of thing for granted but when it is hard to come by it means so much more. I can tell happy it made you to get to give him a hug and a kiss and touches my heart.

Hi rosepedal! Thanks for sharing your excitements. I hope that eventually everything will turn out good for your son. Some people have found their lives while in jail and came out with a wonderful view and appreciation of life. They were able to find jobs, got married and have wonderful families. I say this because I know a few. We never asked for this to happen. Let's just hope that everything will work together for good.
cheers.

Hi suzzy
I thank you for your words. The transporter was great. He called me which Im sure he asked my son for the phone number. He asked if I could met them at the store and he would let me see my son for a few minutes. The shock was when he let him stand and give me a big hug. Well I actually got three big hugs and a kiss on the cheek. It was great. Have a great day and keep smiling..

Hello tigeraunt
I sure do hope so. I keep my fingers crossed for him. I hope that the end is almost here. We will know more in a few weeks if the judge feels that he needs more time in jail. I believe that he will do fine once he gets out. I know I have faith in him. Thanks for your kindness and have a great day..

hi rosepedal64 I am so glad that you got to see your
son for a while and give him a hug or two or three
and a kiss. I know it meant an awfull lot to you.
That is how I feel when my son comes to visit me here
'too. I am not in a real prison,it is just that I
would never have wanted to come to a retirement center
'at all except this time it was that or sleep on the
park bench or something like that. any way one day soon
when my son gets a job and accumulates some money we'
will again be a family again in a two br.apartment.
So for now when he comes to visit me, it is just wonderful.
