BADMINTON the number 1 sport in the world??

Do you think Badminton is the best sport and can be titled as the NUMBER 1 sport in the world? Please give your insights and basis. ^_^

I think football or soccer is the No.1 sport in the world. Regarding badminton, I don't know how to say, it's popular in China, espeically in south of China. But there are also many other games here, such as table tennis, basketball, and so on.

It really depends on what you look for in a sport. I grew up playing badminton so I appreciate the ins and outs of the game, but it's impossible to pick one sport from another. Therefore I don't really see why there is a need to pick a "number 1 sport in the world".

I don't claim that this is the best sport as there are so many sports to choose from but you can say badminton is a very popular sports and everyone can enjoy it as you don't need a team to play. I do think Badminton is up there in the top ten but still I would never say it is number 1.
