We will be taking our children for a hayride and trick-or-treating. We decorate our four-wheeler trailer, hook it to the four-wheeler, and go all around our neighborhood. The girls all love it, and try their hardest to fit as many friends on the trailer with us as they can. We even all sit back and sing silly songs or Dunday School songs as we go. It's a blast!

Every year, I always have the intention of handing out candy, and all of that. So I go to the store, buy boat loads of candy, then eat away at it prior to trick or treating. By the time the big day comes, there is nothing. I did the same thing this year. I think because I buy my candy too early is what my problem is. I tend to do things early. For example, I just told my daughter that I was buying her Christmas gift when I got paid this week. Anyway, the poor kids probably won't get any candy from my house this year.

I won't be doing either. My Grandson is too young to take out and all my kids are grown and out of the house. We live off of a small dirt road off the main street and no one comes to our house. So we don't hand out candy. I used to like doing that. It was fun to see the kids in their costumes.

I live in a very small Baptist town. Seriously, there's like 100 kids here and that's it. Until I showed up, yard displays consitted of a few white trash bags tied to tree branches as ghosts and a couple of jack o lanterns.
Then I showed up with a graveyard in the flower bed, a 7 foot grim reaper, a few corpses, a witch and various other things that go bump in the night.
Now people are starting to feel more comfortable with the idea of a spooky night.
So this year, I'm thinking of making cookies to hand out. Little skull cookies.

Hi,ladym33!
This Halloween I (along with my sister and brother n law) will be taking my nephew and niece trick or treating. I really enjoy Halloween and it's so much fun to walk around the neighborhood and soaking in that "Halloween" atmosphere.

last year my daughters didnt want to go out trick or treating (they 12 and 16) so since it was a friday night, we went to the mall and did some christmas shopping (it was very empty!) anyways, this year, my 16 year old is thinking about going out with friends but we will take my 12 year old out for dinner and maybe to a movie or something. (she doesnt like halloween!)

Hi ladym. Chances are I won't be doing either. As I live out in the country no one ever comes out here to trick-or-treat, and I know as no ones ever shown up in the past 14 years that I've been here! LOL I have no way to take my kids to go trick-or-treating, but even if I could, my oldest is autistic and it'd make it pretty hard to do so. So, it'll be just another day for us. Maybe a few treats for the kids, so they don't miss out on too much.
Happy mylotting!

Sadly, our boys are too old to trick or treat now. So, I guess we will be handing out candy this year. It will be the first year that neither of them are going trick or treating. They are all grown up and it makes me feel sad. We will be watching a scary movie and eating appetizer type stuff. I think it will be fun anyway.

Hello there ladym33,
This Halloween I was supposed to go out trick or treating with my little brother but unfortunately I fell asleep an never woke up in time to go with him. I was pretty annoyed at myself that I never woke up again but I am really glad that my little brother still went out with my mum and another friend anyways. And I have absolutely no idea if any children came around for some lollies. I imagine that there would be for we have heaps coming around our house last year.

I will be getting dressed up and going out to party! My boyfriend loves Halloween but we didn't get to spend it together last year, so will be making up for it on the 31st of October :)

I will be Trick or Treating. It's way fun, than waiting for them to give out candy. I hope I have fun this year though. I won't be in any costume though I just get a bag and get candy. My mom get's mad cause we eat to much sweet's in the house I guess? I don't think we do though. LOL. :P
