Living situations and titles (ie married, engaged) have nothing to do with breaking up. People break up for many reasons but i don't really think they have much to do with those options.

"none of the above" :) I really think that the reason why two people break up is because of personality differences. I have known a lot of people who separated who are on the situation you have just mention (A,B,C & D) and they never mention that the reason they broke up is because of their reason to live in or not. It is always their different values and personalities.

I don't really think there's a definite answer because every couple and every situation is so different. All I can really say is that rushing into anything is never a good idea. It's best to take your time and take each step when it feels right for both of you, not when people tell you it's time or even when you think it's time. When you're ready for each step then you'll know.
