This is excelent news! We finally have a closer who will be around a second season! The first closers would play one year and then become free-agents and sign elsewhere the next season! This is really good news!

yes, this is great news! Signed through 2010 with an option for 2011 also.
And, if he's as good as he was this year, then the Brewers have nothing to worry about.
Plus, it's one less thing that Doug Melvin has to worry about during the off-season, so he can concentrate mainly on starting pitching.
Plus, not only is he a great pitcher, but Trevor is a good guy and a good teammate. It's good to have him in the bullpen with some of the younger pitchers that can look up to him and get help from him if they need it.
I hope he pitches for a couple more years, and retires as a Brewer.

I agree! Trevor Hoffman just isn't a great pitcher,he is also a very nice guy! I wish more players were like him! Thanks for the response!

Cool, I remember the days of Trevor here at San Diego, hopefully you can still get a couple of good years out of him.

I hope Hoffman has a few more good years in him too! He was awesome in San Diego!
