Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh seems to love the Rams even in the condition the team finds itself right now. It appears that Rush has teamed with the St. Louis Blues owner Checketts and has placed a bid for the team.
Limbaugh declined to name any other partners that might be involved and said that he and Checketts would run the team.
"Dave Checketts and I have put in our bid for the Rams and we are continuing the process." Limbaugh commented.
The team is estimated to be worth $929 million.
From a statement made by Chip Rosenbloom who owns 60% of the team along with his sister, makes it sound as if he is taking the bid seriously. "Our strategic review of our ownership of the Rams continues. We will make an announcement upon completion of the process."
It's not known whether or not Limbaugh and Checketts are bidding for 100% ownership or just 60% with billionaire Kroenke keeping his 40% share of ownership.
Ever since the Rams have been up for sale the fans have been concerned that the team might move out of St. Louis. Should Limbaugh and Checketts win the bid for ownership, it's guaranteed that the Rams will stay in St. Louis since both Checketts and Limbaugh reside in Missouri.
Rush Limbaugh owning a football team, interesting to say the least.
