Belching (also known as burping), is the release of gas from the digestive system through the mouth. And is usually accompanied with a sound. Several causes was attributed to drinking carbonated drinks such as soft drinks, beer or champagne.
Many countries considered audible burping as impolite and childish in a similar manner to flatulence.
For me, belching out loud is my way of saying "this one is good". How about you?

In our culture, belching in public is not a norm. It is for me a sign of disrespect. If you feel like belching, excuse yourself or at least cover your mouth. Belch does not smell good.

Hi,In our area, people feel belching is funny, childish and laughing action in middle class families and it is impolite in the case of higher society people. But health wise it is better to release gas in any means other wise it may lead to serious problems irrespective of feelings.Have a nice time.

Well, I do not belch in public for most of the time. But some times exceptions happen. We may not able to control belching. It goes out so fast. For most of the time, I will try to eat healthy food to prevent belching, especially in public. In my country, people consider this is very impolite. And I rarely see people around me belching in public.
