Cricket, said to be the gentleman's game is in its destructive phase???
It is a passion for many in India.Starting from tests,60-over matches,50-over matches...
IT'S JUST 20 OVERS!!!
Of course it is fun!!!
But classic cricket is on verge of extinction??
Now,the tests face the greatest threat...
Will cricket sustain???

yes i think..t20 has destroyed cricketing culture..and test cricket is more affected by t20..because we seen in 50-50 matches..that a cricketer loose their ability to playing all 50 overs.. now he is a habit of 20-20...so the scope of 50-50 matches and test cricket..is now destroyed slowely slowely...i think..it is bad for test cricket..

test cricket have no future ahead while 50-50 is on the verge of extintion. The main reason for these changes are the busy lives of people or the young cricket loving generation. There is no time for people to sit and watch the 50-50 game the whole day. while 20-20 is only of 3 hrs and people can take out those 3 hrs.

Common friend, why do you think cricket is in its Destructive phase?? When ODI's was increased in a year more than Test cricket, soon, test matches are now more interesting and results are happening. Not like in the past boring draws in Test matches. Many teams are trying to win a test match and playing more shots. In the past Sunil Gavaskar used to wait for hours to get a bad ball to hit the four. But today's Sehwag is not having that patiences and he hits the ball from first ball. Today's players are making test cricket more interesting.
Coming to T20 format, this format will destroy the 50 overs ODI format in my view. After watching T20 format matches, I stopped wating the 50 overs format because in 50 overs format first 15 overs will be interesting and last 10 overs in between phase will be just running singles and two's and now a days no player is good against spin.. Whatever, I will watch any format if time permits and I do not have any problem with these formats.. Sachin Tendulkar recently gave one good idea for 50 overs format and his idea is very nice and I hope ICC try and see that format..

I too support your views,friend..
But what i meant to point out is that there were ideas regarding shortening tests to 4 days..
As we know many of the match twisters occur on the 5th day..
It is like cutting off the climax of a film...
I too is of the same view as that of Sachin...And i am a big fan of his..

surely t20 will rise popularity of the game..but as the batting maestro Sachin said the 50-over format could be made in the 25-over each type or it could be made a total of 40 overs....
surely europeans might like those club-type games...but beware this is INDIA...
